Job Title : Sr. Data Scientist AI & Call Center Automation
Location : Mumbai
Experience : 8 to 12 years
About the Role :
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist with strong AI/ML expertise The ideal candidate should be capable of building intelligent models that improve customer interactions, reduce operational effort, and enhance service quality.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, train, and optimize machine learning and deep learning models for NLP, speech analytics, and customer interaction insights.
- Design and implement AI-driven automation solutions such as chatbots, voicebots, IVR intelligence, and agent-assist tools.
- Build predictive models to analyze call patterns, customer behavior, CSAT drivers, and agent performance.
- Work with structured and unstructured data including call transcripts, audio data, customer interaction logs, and CRM data.
- Develop algorithms for intent recognition, sentiment analysis, topic modeling, and conversation summarization.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to translate business problems into analytical solutions.
- Deploy models into production using modern MLOps practices (CI/CD, versioning, monitoring).
- Conduct A/B experiments to measure impact of automation and AI improvements.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Required Skills & Experience :
- Bachelor's/Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience as a Data Scientist with strong exposure to AI/ML and NLP.
- Hands-on experience with Call Center / BPO / Customer Support automation solutions.
- Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn.
- Experience in using NLP libraries like SpaCy, Hugging Face Transformers, NLTK.
- Strong understanding of LLMs, Generative AI, and vector databases.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with speech analytics tools and ASR (Automated Speech Recognition) engines.
- Experience in productionizing models with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, Airflow.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with RAG pipelines, conversational AI, or agent-assist systems.
- Knowledge of contact center technologies like NICE, Genesys, Five9, Amazon Connect, etc.
- Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed computing frameworks.
- Past exposure to GenAI-based automation, summarization, and prompt engineering.
