Job Title : Data Engineer (DBT | SQL | Airbyte)

Job Summary :


We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in DBT, SQL, and Airbyte to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics-ready data models. The ideal candidate will work closely with analytics, product, and business teams to ensure reliable, high-quality data across the organization.



Key Responsibilities :



- Design, develop, and maintain ELT data pipelines using Airbyte for data ingestion from multiple sources.



- Build and manage analytics engineering workflows using DBT, including models, tests,

documentation, and version control.



- Write complex and optimized SQL queries for data transformation, aggregation, and

performance tuning.



- Implement data quality checks, tests, and monitoring to ensure data accuracy and reliability.



- Develop dimensional and analytical data models (fact and dimension tables) aligned with

business requirements.



- Collaborate with data analysts, BI teams, and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.



- Optimize pipeline performance and ensure efficient resource utilization.



- Maintain proper documentation for data models, pipelines, and processes.



- Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for data engineering and analytics engineering.



Required Skills & Qualifications :



- 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering.



- Strong expertise in SQL (complex joins, CTEs, window functions, query optimization).



- Hands-on experience with DBT (models, macros, tests, snapshots, documentation).



- Practical experience using Airbyte for data ingestion and pipeline orchestration.



- Solid understanding of ELT architectures and modern data stack concepts.



- Experience working with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or similar).



- Familiarity with Git/version control and collaborative development workflows.



- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.



Good to Have (Preferred Skills) :



- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).



- Exposure to BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.).



- Knowledge of Python for data processing or automation.



- Understanding of data governance, security, and access controls.



- Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines.
