Position Summary :

The SAP MM/P2P consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing SAP solutions to meet business needs while ensuring seamless end-to-end integration. This role involves gathering and translating business requirements, configuring SAP systems, resolving complex issues, and ensuring compliance with governance standards.

You will lead testing, documentation, and user training, while proactively identifying opportunities for system improvements. Acting as a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, you will drive operational excellence, support critical incidents, and deliver integrated, high-impact solutions across the SAP lifecycle.

Responsibilities :

- Provide functional input and guidance to technical teams (ABAP, Basis, etc.)

- Responsible for managing L3 incidents in SAP MM and its inbound and outbound applications like vendor management system, Sourcing to contract application (Ivalua) and e-Catalogs solution (Ivalua), and Ariba commerce automation system

- Team collaboration : You will be part of an extended team with team members in Europe and India, supporting the delivery of change requests for our business. This involves analyzing technical impact, defining technical solutions, providing estimates and planning, and ultimately implementing and testing change requests.

- Quality : Manage the quality of functional analysis and incident resolution to business

- Testing Support : Support both business and IT testing to ensure solutions meet the required standards and function effectively.

- Business Analysis & Solution Design : Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translate business needs into functional specifications. Design end-to-end business processes and integrate SAP with other systems by aligning with business key users for the identified business requirements or projects

- SAP MM Configuration & Implementation : Configure and customize SAP MM module to meet business needs. Participate in SAP projects (implementations, upgrades, rollouts) and support go-live activities

- Testing & Quality Assurance : Develop and execute test plans (unit, integration, UAT

- User Support & Troubleshooting : Responsible for solving L3 incidents in P2P area by conducting root cause analysis (RCA), and deploy fixes or patch

- Documentation & Knowledge Management : Create and maintain functional specifications, process flows, and training materials for the assigned change requests.

Required Skills :

1. SAP MM Module Expertise (5 to 7 years)

Skills/Expertise : Deep knowledge of SAP MM for procurement processes. Expertise in configuring, customizing, and integrating these modules within the P2P cycle, ensuring seamless data flow across procurement, inventory, sales, and maintenance.

Relevant for : Developing solutions that ensure the smooth integration and automation of P2P processes, including purchase order management, inventory management, invoicing, and maintenance-related procurement.

2. Problem-Solving & Technical Troubleshooting:

a. Skills/Expertise : Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues in SAP MM, module, including resolving integration, data consistency, and system performance issues. Expertise in troubleshooting and ensuring that custom developments do not affect existing workflows.

b. Relevant for : Providing continuous support for P2P processes, ensuring smooth system functionality, and troubleshooting any technical issues related to SAP MM.

3.Effective Communication : Translate technical concepts for business users and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

4. Collaboration & Teamwork : Work closely with SAP teams, developers, and end-users, sharing knowledge and embracing feedback.

5. Adaptability : Quickly adjust to SAP upgrades (e.g., S/4HANA), new tools (e.g., Fiori, Ariba), and shifting priorities.

6. Process Understanding : Align SAP MM processes with business operations, identifying inefficiencies and proposing improvements.

7. Master Data Management (Material Master, Vendor Master, Purchasing Info Records)

8. Configuration and Troubleshooting of Purchase Requisition/Order Approval Workflows

9. Ability to Create and Maintain Technical Documentation (Functional Specs, Configuration Documents, Process Flows)

10. Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or a related discipline

1. Debugging knowledge

Skills/Expertise : Strong skills in ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming) for custom development, enhancements, and report generation within SAP MM. Proficient in creating user exits, BADI (Business Add-ins), function modules, and custom reports to meet business requirements.

Relevant for : Developing customized solutions and reports to automate and streamline P2P processes, including purchase requisitions, material returns, invoicing, and maintenance order processing

2. Integration of SAP MM, SD, and PM (Nice to have)

Skills/Expertise : Expertise in integrating SAP MM, SAP SD, and SAP PM with other systems, both internal (e.g., finance modules) and external systems (e.g., third-party procurement solutions). Knowledge of integrating with non-SAP applications using technologies like IDoc, BAPI, RFC, and Web Services.

Relevant for : Ensuring that all modules work together effectively within the P2P process, from procurement and inventory management to maintenance and invoicing, facilitating smooth data transfer and process flow.
