Senior Connex Engineer

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain payment switching applications.

- Develop and support Connex-based payment processing solutions.

- Work on core transaction-processing systems within a financial technology environment.

- Handle Connex development, application enhancements, and system architecture activities.

- Develop and maintain applications on HPE NonStop/Tandem platforms.

- Troubleshoot complex application and transaction-processing issues.

- Work with Pathway, Guardian, Enscribe, and SQL/MX components.

- Analyse debit and credit transaction flows and ensure reliable payment processing.

- Collaborate with technical and business teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.

- Support production issues, root cause analysis, and application stability.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 712 years of relevant experience in software development, preferably 8+ years.

- Strong hands-on experience with Connex.

- Experience with HPE NonStop / Tandem architecture.

- Strong knowledge of :

i. Pathway

ii. Guardian

iii. Enscribe

iv. SQL/MX

- Hands-on experience with TAL / pTAL and TACL.

- Experience with COBOL / SCOBOL.

- Strong understanding of payment switching applications.

- Good knowledge of debit and credit transaction processing flows.

- Experience working with core banking or financial transaction-processing environments.

- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile :

- Experience in banking, payments, cards, transaction processing, or financial technology.

- Strong understanding of payment switch architecture and transaction lifecycle.

- Experience working on high-availability, high-volume transaction-processing systems.

- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment with cross-functional technology teams.
