Senior Business Analyst (P&C Insurance)

Location : Noida/Gurugram

Job Summary :

Key Objectives :

- Understand and Document Business Needs : Work closely with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into actionable insights.

- Conduct Market Research : Identify and evaluate external digital solutions that align with business needs.

- Analyze and Compare Solutions : Conduct in-depth feature analysis, benchmarking market offerings to determine the best fit.

- Validate and verify requirements by reviewing them with stakeholders and obtaining their approval. Ensure that the documented requirements align with the business goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

Business Requirement Analysis :

- Engage with stakeholders to understand business processes, challenges, and future goals.

- Use various techniques such as interviews, surveys, and observations to elicit detailed business requirements. Ensure that the requirements capture both the functional and non-functional aspects.

- Document detailed business and functional requirements to support digital transformation initiatives.

Market Research & Solution Evaluation :

- Research emerging technologies in the insurance space, identifying potential solution providers.

- Evaluate the applicability of technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain etc in improving insurance processes and customer experiences.

- Conduct competitive analysis of external solutions, comparing features, functionalities, and scalability.

- Perform SWOT analysis to understand the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats posed by competitor solutions.

- Collaborate with vendors to gain a deep understanding of their offerings and limitations.

- Lead pilot projects to test and evaluate new solutions.

In-Depth Analysis & Strategic Insights :

- Assess solutions for compatibility with internal systems, security, and compliance standards.

- Provide data-driven recommendations to business teams on solution selection.

- Work closely with the Senior Business Consultant to align findings with broader strategic initiatives.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of new solutions.

- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of new technologies and their impact on business objectives.

Skills & Qualifications :

- 7+ years of experience in the P&C insurance industry, with strong knowledge of insurance business processes.

- Experience in large-scale business deployments, including business process transformation.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business challenges into solution-driven strategies.

- Hands-on experience with business requirement gathering, process documentation, and workflow analysis.

- Ability to conduct market research, competitive analysis, and feature benchmarking.

- Strong stakeholder management skills, ensuring clear communication between business, technology, and vendors.

- Proficiency in data visualization, business process modelling tools, and reporting frameworks.

Preferred Skills :

- Understanding of AI/ML applications, automation, and analytics in insurance.

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Azure Dev Ops, Jira, and Confluence.

- Certifications in CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), CSPO, Lean Six Sigma, or Agile frameworks.
