We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our engineering team and help build scalable systems that power billing automation, usage metering, and revenue recognition for B2B SaaS companies.

You will work on building high-performance backend services, APIs, and integrations that handle complex pricing models and large-scale financial data. This role offers the opportunity to work on core infrastructure powering modern revenue operations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and build scalable backend systems, APIs, and services

- Develop integrations with CRMs, ERPs, data warehouses, and payment platforms

- Build systems capable of handling complex pricing models and high-volume usage data

- Collaborate with product, engineering, and customer success teams to deliver reliable features

- Ensure clean code practices, performance optimization, and system reliability

- Participate in system design discussions and architecture decisions

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex backend and data-related issues

Ideal Candidate :

Mandatory Requirements :

- 5+ years of backend engineering experience building scalable production systems

- Strong experience with backend frameworks such as : Python (FastAPI / Django), Java (Spring Boot), Node.js (Express.js)

- Strong understanding of system design, APIs, and backend architecture

- Hands-on experience with SQL / NoSQL databases and data modeling

- Experience building APIs, services, and backend systems in production environments

Mandatory (Domain) :

- Experience with financial systems, billing platforms, or fintech applications is highly preferred (fintech background is a strong plus).

Mandatory (Company) :

- Must have worked in product companies / startups, preferably Series A to Series D stage companies.

Mandatory (Education) :

- Candidates from Tier-1 engineering institutes (IITs, BITS) are highly preferred.

Work Environment :

- Mandatory (Work Mode) : This is a Hybrid role with 2 days Work From Office (Tuesday and Thursday). Candidates must be comfortable with this arrangement.
