Senior Backend Engineer - Java/Python

Description :

Build Core Backend Systems :

- Design and develop scalable APIs, services, and backend systems

- Build infrastructure for billing automation and revenue recognition

- Ensure systems are robust, secure, and production-ready

- Contribute to backend-heavy full stack development when required

- Collaborate on frontend integrations to deliver seamless user experiences

Integrations & Platform Expansion :

- Build and manage integrations with CRMs, ERPs, payment gateways, and data platforms

- Ensure reliable data flow and system interoperability

Design for Scale :

- Handle high-volume data, real-time processing, and complex pricing models

- Optimize systems for performance, reliability, and scalability

Engineering Excellence :

- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code

- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and best practices

- Debug and resolve complex cross-system issues

What Youll Bring :

- 5+ years of backend engineering experience in product-based companies/startups

Strong expertise in at least one :

- Python (FastAPI / Django)

- Java (Spring Boot)

- Node.js (Express)

Solid understanding of :

- System design & scalable architectures

- API design and microservices

- SQL & NoSQL databases (data modeling + optimization)

Must Have :

- Proven experience building production-grade backend systems

- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and backend design

- Experience with high-scale systems or complex workflows

- Ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments

Good to Have :

- Experience in Fintech / Billing / Payments / Financial systems

- Exposure to event-driven systems, queues, and real-time processing

- Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)

- Background from high-growth startups (Series AD)

Preferred :

- Degree from Tier-1 engineering institutes (IITs / BITS)

- Strong ownership mindset and first-principles thinking
