Job Overview :

We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture to build high-performance, scalable backend systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in API development, containerized deployments, and event-driven systems, along with a strong focus on code quality and system reliability.

This role requires close collaboration with product, DevOps, and frontend teams to design and deliver secure and resilient backend services.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and develop scalable RESTful APIs and Microservices using Java and Spring Boot

- Design clean, maintainable, and reusable backend components

- Develop and execute comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure high-quality code

- Create and maintain API documentation standards

- Implement containerized solutions using Docker and manage deployments in Kubernetes environments

- Build event-driven integrations using messaging platforms such as Kafka

- Optimize application performance, reliability, and security

- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and support automated build and release processes

- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 6+ years of professional software development experience

- Strong experience in unit testing using JUnit.

- Hands-on with Swagger and Postman for API documentation and testing.

- Practical knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

- Experience writing BDD test cases.

- Familiarity with EDA and AWS services (Lambda) or Kafka.

- Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies.

Preferred Skills :

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).

- Understanding of security best practices and performance optimization.

- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures.
