Senior Backend/DevOps Engineer - Python/Node.js

Description :

The ideal candidate should be able to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and cloud-based infrastructure.

You will work on high-performance APIs, optimize databases, manage cloud deployments, and ensure system reliability.

This role requires hands-on experience in backend development, cloud platforms, containerization, CI/CD, and production support.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop RESTful APIs using Python (Django, FastAPI, Flask) and Node.js (Express.js)

- Build scalable backend services handling high traffic and low latency

- Optimize database queries, indexing, and caching strategies

- Implement authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth)

- Deploy and manage applications on AWS or other cloud platforms

- Containerize applications using Docker and manage deployments

- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines

- Monitor applications, troubleshoot issues, and improve system performance

- Work closely with frontend, product, and QA teams

- Follow clean architecture and secure coding practices

Must-Have Skills :

- Strong experience in Python (Django / FastAPI / Flask) and Node.js (Express.js)

- Solid experience building RESTful APIs and handling high-traffic systems

- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL, including query optimization

- Practical experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS) and Docker containerization

- Good understanding of authentication (JWT), API security, and Linux fundamentals

Good-to-Have Skills :

- Experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD pipeline automation

- Knowledge of Redis caching and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra)

- Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems

- Experience with GCP, Azure, Oracle Cloud, or DigitalOcean

- Basic frontend knowledge (React.js) and system design principles
