Description :
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Data Platform Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory, Azure PaaS services, and Power BI.
The ideal candidate will design, build, secure, and optimize enterprise-scale cloud data platforms, working closely with architects, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, high-performance, and scalable data solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse :
Design, configure, and manage Snowflake environments, including :
- Security integrations (SSO, RBAC, OAuth)
- Storage integrations and external stages
- PrivateLink connectivity
- Database, schema, and object lifecycle management
- Virtual warehouse sizing, cost optimization, and performance tuning
- Implement data governance, access controls, and audit best practices
Azure Data Factory (ADF) :
Design and develop ADF pipelines using :
- Linked Services, Datasets, Data Flows
- Integration Runtimes (Azure, Self-Hosted)
- Managed Private Endpoints
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures, performance bottlenecks, and connectivity issues
- Implement parameterized, reusable, and CI/CD-friendly pipelines
Azure PaaS & Networking :
Work extensively with Azure PaaS services, including :
- Azure SQL Database
- Azure Storage Accounts (Blob, Files, ADLS Gen2)
- Logic Apps
- Azure Key Vault
- Configure Private Endpoints, VNets, Subnets, NSGs, and secure service-to-service connectivity.
- Manage secrets, certificates, and keys using Azure Key Vault
Databases & SQL Technologies :
Strong hands-on experience with :
- T-SQL, Azure SQL, Snowflake SQL, Oracle SQL
Manage and optimize :
- SQL Server databases
- SQL Jobs, Replication, Stored Procedures
- Linked Servers, ODBC data sources
- Integration Services (SSIS)
- Perform performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
Power BI & Analytics :
- Develop Power BI Desktop reports and datasets.
- Publish and manage reports in Power BI Service
- Configure gateways, refresh schedules, workspace security, and performance optimization
Automation & Scripting :
Use PowerShell for automation, monitoring, and operational tasks.
- Support DevOps practices for data platforms (version control, deployments, monitoring)
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Must-Have Skills :
- 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Platform roles
- Strong expertise in Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory
- Deep understanding of Azure PaaS services and private networking
- Strong SQL skills across Azure SQL, Snowflake, Oracle
- Experience with Power BI Desktop & Power BI Service
- Solid troubleshooting and performance-tuning skills
Nice-to-Have :
- Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines
- Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and cost optimization
- Exposure to enterprise security and compliance requirements
- Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments
