Senior Azure Administrator - Cloud Infrastructure

Description :

The ideal candidate will have a B.Tech or M.Tech in IT, Computer Science, or a related field. You will manage and optimise the Azure platform's cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and cost efficiency.

Your role will include system administration, implementing Azure Entra, Azure Elastic Pool database monitoring and administration, Cosmos DB, No SQL DB monitoring and administration, Kubernetes cluster resource monitoring, Key Vault, DevOps admin, load balancer, vNET configuration, and providing technical support.

Strong problem-solving skills, proficiency in scripting languages, and experience with infrastructure-as-code tools are essential.

Responsibilities :

Cloud Management :

- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on Azure.

- You will manage and optimise the Azure platform's cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and cost efficiency. Your role will include system administration, implementing Azure Entra, Azure Elastic Pool database.

- Configure Docker container, Azure container registry, Kubernetes cluster.

- Use of Key Vault for key storage.

- Configure load balancer, vNET and Web Application Firewall, Site recovery & NextGen firewall.

- Automate the deploymentof cloud applications and services.

System Administration :

- Administer and manage servers, networks, and storage systems.

- Ensure system security through the implementation of security policies and regular updates.

- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance.

DevOps Practices :

- Configure CI/CD Pipeline in DevOps.

- Integrate GitHub and TFSV repository with DevOps CI/CD pipeline.

- Automate unit test cases using a pipeline.

- Automate deployment processes using tools like Jenkins, Ansible, or Terraform.

- Security and vulnerability scanning using tools like SonarQube.

- Automate deployment scripts using AI tools like Copilot is preferred.

Technical Support :

- Resolve issues related to cloud deployments, network configurations, and application performance.

- Document processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Project Management :

- Assist in planning and executing IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

- Maintain project documentation and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Compliance and Documentation :

- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for cloud infrastructure and data security.

- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud configurations, procedures, and policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Educational Background :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience :

- 6+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management and IT support.

- Proven experience with cloud AZURE platforms.

Technical Skills :

- Strong understanding of cloud services, virtualization, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

- Familiarity with network protocols, firewall management, and VPN configuration.

- Knowledge of database management systems and data backup/recovery solutions.

- Experience with AI tools like GitHub Copilot is preferred.

Soft Skills :

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

- Project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Certifications such as Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator.

- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.

- Understanding of compliance standards like GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO/IEC 27001.
