Senior AWS Developer - Amazon Connect

Role Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Developer specialising in Amazon Connect to join an enterprise Salesforce Engineering programme. In this role, the developer will design, build, and operate cloud-based contact centre capabilities using Amazon Connect and AWS services, integrating them with Salesforce and the client's enterprise platforms.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise solutions built on Amazon Connect and AWS.
- Build and maintain Amazon Connect contact flows, routing profiles, queues, prompts, hours of operation, security profiles, and related configurations.
- Develop integrations between Amazon Connect, Salesforce Service Cloud, and other enterprise applications.
- Build serverless and event-driven solutions using services such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, EventBridge, SNS, SQS, Kinesis, and CloudWatch.
- Develop backend services and APIs using languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Implement Amazon Connect capabilities including voice, chat, IVR, routing, recording, analytics, and agent experiences.
- Work with Amazon Connect APIs, SDKs, the Streams API, Contact Control Panel (CCP), and related integration frameworks.
- Design secure integrations and authentication patterns using AWS IAM, OAuth, certificates, secrets management, and enterprise identity solutions.
- Collaborate with Salesforce engineers to deliver seamless agent and customer experiences across Amazon Connect and Salesforce.
- Develop reusable components, infrastructure automation, and deployment pipelines using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices.
- Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, observability, and operational support for production contact-centre services.
- Troubleshoot complex distributed-system and integration issues across AWS, Amazon Connect, Salesforce APIs, and downstream systems.
- Participate in architecture and design reviews and contribute to technical standards and engineering best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor engineers on AWS, Amazon Connect integration, and software engineering practices.
- Partner with product owners, architects, security teams, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Continuously evaluate AWS and Amazon Connect capabilities and recommend improvements to architecture, reliability, performance, and customer experience.
Requirements :
- Minimum 6 years of professional software development experience, with significant experience building solutions on AWS.
- Strong hands-on experience implementing and supporting Amazon Connect in production environments.
- Experience with AWS serverless technologies - Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, SNS/SQS, and EventBridge.
- Strong programming experience in at least one modern language - Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and event-driven integrations.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, distributed systems, security, scalability, resiliency, and high availability.
- Experience with source control and CI/CD technologies - Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code - AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or Terraform.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and production-support skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across engineering and business teams.
Nice to Have :
- Experience integrating Amazon Connect with Salesforce Service Cloud.
- Experience with Salesforce CTI, Open CTI, Service Cloud Voice, or similar contact-centre integrations.
- Deep knowledge of Amazon Connect APIs, Streams API, Contact Control Panel, contact attributes, CTR/contact records, and custom agent experiences.
- Experience with Amazon Lex conversational AI, chatbots, or voice automation.
- Experience with Amazon Connect Contact Lens - analytics, call recording, transcription, quality management, or workforce management capabilities.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- 7 - 10 years of overall experience, with a minimum of 6 years of professional software development experience including significant AWS delivery.
Ways of Working :
- Close collaboration with Salesforce engineers, architects, product managers, and business stakeholders.
- Participation in architecture and design reviews, code reviews, and technical standards development.
- Location : Bangalore.
