About the Role :
In this role, you will own cloud operations, automation, and platform reliability while working closely with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to ensure secure, highly available, and cost-efficient AWS environments.
This is an individual contributor role suited for engineers who enjoy solving real production challenges, improving system reliability, and automating infrastructure at scale.
Key Responsibilities :
Cloud Infrastructure & Operations :
- Ensure platform availability, reliability, and operational stability.
- Maintain secure and scalable cloud architecture aligned with best practices.
- Handle incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
Infrastructure as Code & Automation :
- Automate operational workflows using Python, AWS Lambda, and Systems Manager.
- Improve deployment efficiency through automation and scripting.
Kubernetes & Container Platform :
- Perform cluster upgrades, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Build and maintain Docker images and manage repositories via Amazon ECR.
Monitoring & Reliability :
- Implement monitoring and alerting using CloudWatch and observability tools.
- Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and system risks.
- Improve system reliability and operational visibility.
Networking & Cost Optimization :
- Support hybrid connectivity and secure network configurations.
- Drive cloud cost optimization through tagging, governance, and usage tracking.
Required Skills & Experience :
Must Have :
- Strong hands-on experience managing AWS production environments:
- EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, ALB, CloudWatch
- Hands-on Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform.
- Experience managing Kubernetes (Amazon EKS) in production.
- Strong AWS networking knowledge (VPC design, routing, connectivity).
- Experience with monitoring, alerts, incident management, and RCA.
- Scripting experience using Python / Bash.
- Ability to independently own and manage cloud operations.
Good to Have :
- Exposure to cloud security best practices.
- Experience in high-scale product or SaaS environments.
- Understanding of microservices architecture.
