Senior Automation Tester - Java/Selenium

Job Title : Senior Automation Tester (Java + Selenium + Playwright)

About the Role :

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automation Tester to join our QA team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in test automation frameworks, hands-on experience with Java, Selenium, and Playwright, and a solid understanding of the software testing lifecycle.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality software delivery, and collaborating closely with development and product teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, and Playwright

- Write efficient, reusable, and scalable automation scripts for web applications

- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing

- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies

- Execute automated test suites and analyze results to identify defects and inconsistencies

- Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)

- Ensure test coverage, maintain test documentation, and generate detailed test reports

- Debug issues, track bugs, and work closely with developers for resolution

- Continuously improve automation processes, tools, and frameworks

- Mentor junior QA engineers and provide technical guidance

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 7+ years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation

- Strong programming skills in Java

- Hands-on experience with :

1. Selenium WebDriver

2. Playwright

- Experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, etc.)

- Good understanding of :

1. Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)

2. Agile/Scrum methodologies

- Experience with API testing (Postman, Rest Assured)

- Familiarity with version control systems like Git

- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)

- Strong debugging and analytical skills
