Job Overview:

- Operate and maintain and configure vulnerability scanning tool Qualys.

- Conduct regular vulnerability scans for servers, endpoints, applications, cloud workloads, and network infrastructure.

- Validate scan results, remove false positives, and ensure proper asset coverage.

- Correlate vulnerabilities with active threats, exploitability data, and business impact.

- Provide recommendations for remediation or compensating controls.

- Create actionable remediation tickets with clear technical guidance.

- Track progress of remediation tasks and follow up to meet defined SLAs.

- Validate successful remediation and confirm closure of vulnerabilities.

Vulnerability Reporting :

- Generate monthly vulnerability reports for customers.

- Communicate complex vulnerability issues in clear, business-friendly terms.

- Provide input to customer-facing reports, including risk summaries and trend analyses.

- Present findings and remediation progress for open vulnerabilities.

- Generate ad-hoc vulnerability bulletins for customers concerning emerging security threats and zero-day vulnerabilities.

- Stay current with emerging vulnerabilities, zero-days, and security advisories, and present findings to customers.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- 35 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, system administration, or vulnerability management.

- Hands-on experience with one or more vulnerability scanning tools with Qualys (Must to have).

- Understanding of CVE, CVSS, MITRE ATT&CK, threat intelligence concepts, and security best practices.

- Experience with patching processes for Windows, Linux, and cloud environments.

- Strong understanding of network protocols, system hardening, and cloud services (AWS).

- Ability to analyze large datasets, extract meaningful insights, and produce clear reports.

- Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.

- Experience working with highly regulated industries such as healthcare and financial services.

- Familiarity with ITIL, change management, and service ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira).

- Certified in CompTIA PenTest+, CompTIA Security+ or CISA is preferred.
