Role Overview :
As a Security Engineer specializing in DevSecOps and Data Automation, you will play a crucial role in embedding security practices throughout the software development lifecycle and automating data security processes. You will collaborate closely with development, operations, and data science teams to ensure the security and integrity of our applications and data infrastructure. This role directly impacts the security posture of our organization and the protection of sensitive customer data.
- Integrate security tools and practices into the CI/CD pipeline to automate security testing and vulnerability assessments for development teams.
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts and tools to streamline security operations and improve efficiency for the security team.
- Conduct security reviews of application code and infrastructure configurations to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities for engineering teams.
- Design and implement data security solutions, including encryption, access controls, and data loss prevention measures, to protect sensitive data for the data science and engineering teams.
- Monitor security alerts and incidents, investigate security breaches, and implement incident response plans to mitigate security risks for the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices for all teams.
- Provide security training and awareness programs to development, operations, and data science teams to promote a security-conscious culture across the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and manage security tools and technologies, such as SAST, DAST, and vulnerability scanners.
- Proven experience in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices, particularly within AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Expertise in data security concepts, including encryption, access control, and data loss prevention.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate security risks and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
