Key Responsibilities :

- Monitor systems, networks, and applications for suspicious activity or security threats

- Investigate and respond to security alerts and incidents

- Perform vulnerability assessments and assist with remediation efforts

- Support implementation of security controls, policies, and best practices

- Analyze logs and reports to identify anomalies and risks

- Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to strengthen security posture

- Document incidents, findings, and resolutions

- Stay updated on emerging threats, tools, and security trends

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 1-2 years of professional or equivalent project/internship experience in cybersecurity or related fields

- Relevant technical knowledge of security tools, systems, and modern technologies

- Basic understanding of networks, operating systems, and security principles

- Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (Python, Bash, or similar)

- Experience working in remote or asynchronous teams

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Good written and verbal communication skills in English

- Ability to take ownership and work independently

Nice to Have :

- Exposure to SIEM tools (Splunk, ELK, Sentinel, etc.)

- Knowledge of incident response processes

- Understanding of cloud security (AWS/GCP/Azure)

- Security certifications or coursework (Security+, CEH, etc.)

- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools
