Position Overview :

A large financial services client is seeking an experienced Scrum Master in India.

Responsibilities :

- Act as Scrum Master to 1-2 pods at a time

- Process Improvement - Partner with the data teams to identify and select process improvement projects that reduce cost and improve client satisfaction.

- Solution Delivery - Use Agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions.

- Training and Support - Train, mentor, and support Scrum teams to follow Agile values, principles, and practices. Provide formal and ad hoc Agile training to teams and managers.

- Task Management - Determine and manage tasks, issues, risks, and action items.

- Scheduling and Facilitation - Schedule and facilitate Scrum events, meetings, and decision-making processes.

- Performance Monitoring Monitor progress and performance and help teams to make improvements.

- Planning - Plan and organize demos and product/system testing.

- Impediment Removal - Ensure the proper use of collaborative processes and remove impediments for the Scrum team.

- Project Tracking Track project processes, deliverables, and financials.

- Project Status Reporting - Prepare and present status reports to stakeholders.

- Collaboration - Works closely with project teams on process improvement planning, communication, and training needs to ensure successful project execution and adoption. Communicates clearly with management, associates, and wider business units in driving change.

Qualifications :

Required Skills :

- Strong proficiency and experience with encouraging Agile behaviors, reinforcing practices, norms, ceremonies, and supporting the overall Squad performance and efficiency

- Experience working with teams operating at various agile maturity levels

- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) required. Other Agile certifications are very strongly desired.

- Must have a deep understanding of all things Agile (Scrum, Kanban and other methodologies)

- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate ideas in a fast-paced creative environment

- Ability to influence and motivate people to high levels of performance and teamwork

- Demonstrated working partnership with engineers, QA, technical and business management, department heads, and product managers

- Strong knowledge and passion about Agile principles and practices

- 8+ years relevant experience

Preferred Experience :

- Experience working with Data Teams is a plus

- Banking experience is also a plus
