The Role :

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP S/4HANA ABAP Technical Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Transportation Management (TM) to join our team.

The ideal candidate should have extensive hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA ABAP development, TM-specific enhancements, BOPF, FPM, CDS, AMDP, ODATA Services, and modern SAP development technologies.

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, supporting, and optimizing SAP TM solutions while collaborating with cross-functional functional and technical teams.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, enhance, and support SAP S/4HANA ABAP applications for SAP TM.

- Develop high-quality technical solutions using SAP ABAP and Object-Oriented ABAP.

- Build, enhance, and support SAP TM business processes through custom developments and enhancements.

- Develop and enhance ODATA Services, CDS Views, AMDP, and S/4HANA data models.

- Design and implement RESTful APIs, RFCs, Web Services, and integration solutions.

- Develop and maintain Adobe Forms and SAP Workflows.

- Perform technical design, coding, unit testing, debugging, performance tuning, and deployment.

- Develop and enhance BAdIs, BAPIs, User Exits, Implicit Enhancements, and Explicit Enhancements.

- Create technical specifications based on functional requirements.

- Review functional specifications and provide technical solutions.

- Troubleshoot production issues, perform incident analysis, and provide effective solutions.

- Optimize existing ABAP programs for performance and scalability.

- Participate in implementation, rollout, upgrade, and support projects for SAP TM.

- Collaborate closely with functional consultants, architects, business users, and project stakeholders.

- Lead development activities and mentor junior developers.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and maintain project documentation.

Must Have Qualifications :

- Minimum 8 years of SAP S/4HANA ABAP development experience.

- Minimum 4 years of SAP TM-specific development experience.

- Minimum 4 years of hands-on BOPF (Business Object Processing Framework) experience.

- Minimum 3 years of Floor Plan Manager (FPM) experience.

- Strong expertise in SAP ABAP and Object-Oriented ABAP (OO ABAP).

- Strong understanding of both Classic ABAP and New ABAP Syntax.

- Excellent ABAP programming, debugging, and performance tuning skills.

- Strong knowledge of Open SQL and Native SQL.

- Hands-on experience with Adobe Forms and SAP Workflows.

- Experience with HTML, RESTful APIs, RFCs, and Web Service Enhancements.

- Extensive experience with Implicit Enhancements, Explicit Enhancements, BAdIs, BAPIs, and User Exits.

- Extensive hands-on experience with ODATA Services, CDS Views, AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures), CDS Modelling, CDS Scripting.

- Expertise in SAP TM implementation, enhancements, rollout, and support.

- Deep knowledge of the SAP TM Business Object Data Model, especially the TOR (Transportation Order) Business Object.

- Strong understanding of TM Conditions, Data Access Definitions, and Data Crawler Profiles.

- Experience with Web Service Enhancements in SAP TM.

- Strong understanding of the BOPF Enhancement Framework.

- Experience working with JIRA and Confluence.

- Experience with ABAP for Cloud development.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

- Experience with FBI (FPM BOPF Integration).

- Experience in end-to-end SAP TM implementation, enhancements, rollout, and production support.

- Experience in onsite/offshore development and support engagements.

- Experience in technical design, technical specification preparation, functional specification review, incident analysis, and solution delivery.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience with PPF, POWL, BRF, AIF, RCCF, bgRFC, SAP UI5 and ODATA UI Development.

- Hands-on experience in CDS View Development.

- SAP certification in ABAP, SAP S/4HANA, or SAP Transportation Management (TM) is an added advantage.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
