Position Summary :

The SAP Solution Architect Supply Chain plays a key role in driving business process improvements and ensuring stable, scalable, and standardized SAP solutions supporting end-to-end Supply Chain operations.

This role ensures uninterrupted day-to-day business transactions through SAP, continuous enhancement of applications, and smooth functioning of global operations.

The incumbent is expected to architect and design solutions for new functionality and business process improvements, drive master data standardization, and enable frictionless transaction processing by working closely with business process owners and global process teams.

The role also carries responsibility for leading projects, guiding global teams, and supporting SAP solutions to resolve complex business and system issues.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP Solution Design & Implementation (Supply Chain) :

- Architect and design SAP solutions to implement new Supply Chain business processes and improve existing processes

- Develop future-state (To-Be) business process flows and configure SAP Supply Chain modules and associated master data

- Lead and support implementation across SAP Supply Chain areas such as MM, SD, PP, IM/WM, QM

- Ensure seamless integration with Finance, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional SAP modules

- Perform and oversee integration and system testing to ensure solution quality and stability

- Prepare test scripts, coordinate user acceptance testing, and ensure business sign-off

- Develop business process documentation and user training materials

- Perform data migration activities and provide post go-live hypercare and ongoing support

- Prepare required solution documentation including configuration documents, gap-fit analysis, and design decisions

- Develop functional specifications and work closely with development teams to deliver enhancements

Support & Enhancement of SAP Applications :

- Provide architectural oversight for support and enhancement of SAP Supply Chain applications

- Partner with business users to identify root causes, gather requirements, and implement solutions

- Apply knowledge of global Supply Chain and international business environments to recommend best-fit solutions

- Lead and coordinate upgrades, enhancements, and third-party integrations as required

- Prioritize and manage support and enhancement initiatives in alignment with business and IT leadership

Business Process Excellence & Global Standardization :

- Drive support, facilitation, enhancement, and re-engineering of Supply Chain business processes

- Incorporate SAP best practices and global standards into business process design

- Enable adoption of global SAP templates and harmonized Supply Chain solutions

- Act as part of the Global Center of Excellence for Supply Chain functional areas

- Coordinate with global Business Process Owners (BPOs) to prioritize initiatives and manage change

Project Leadership & Governance :

- Lead SAP Supply Chain projects from initiation through closure with full ownership of solution design

- Define project scope, approach, milestones, and resource requirements

- Guide and support cross-functional global teams to deliver projects on time and within budget

- Maintain appropriate project documentation and provide regular status updates

- Ensure quality, user satisfaction, and adherence to approved project governance

Digitization & Process Innovation :

- Support digital initiatives and integration of SAP data with connected systems and platforms

- Evaluate and recommend advanced technologies such as RPA, automation tools, master data management, integration tools, etc., to improve efficiency and scalability

Compliance, Security & Safety :

- Adhere to Global IT and BPI policies, standards, and procedures

- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) requirements

- Participate in mandatory security and safety training

- Promote a strong culture of safety, compliance, and data protection

Education :

- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Management, Technology, or equivalent

Experience :

- 15+ years of experience in SAP Supply Chain modules (MM, SD, PP, IM/WM, QM)

- Proven experience in solution architecture, large SAP implementations, and global rollouts

- Strong experience in manufacturing or batch/process industry environments (chemical or similar preferred)

- Extensive experience in designing and architecting end-to-end Supply Chain solutions

- Experience working with cross-functional global business and IT teams
