SAP SD Consultant - Implementation & Configuration

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced SAP SD Consultant with 4+ years of expertise to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and optimizing the SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) module to support business operations.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules and ensure business requirements are met. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of sales order processing, shipping, pricing, and billing, and will play a key role in providing functional expertise throughout the SAP project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the configuration and implementation of SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) to meet business requirements.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications for SAP SD solutions.

- Configure core SAP SD functionalities, including sales order management, pricing, billing, shipping, and credit management.

- Oversee end-to-end implementation of SAP SD solutions, including requirements gathering, system design, configuration, testing, and go-live support.

- Provide expertise in the integration of SAP SD with other SAP modules such as SAP MM, SAP FI, SAP WM, and SAP CS.

- Develop and maintain functional specifications and documentation for custom developments related to SAP SD.

- Ensure successful testing (unit testing, integration testing, UAT) and ensure solutions meet user needs and business processes.

- Conduct training sessions for end-users and provide ongoing support to ensure the adoption of SAP SD solutions.

- Troubleshoot and resolve SAP SD issues related to system performance, functionality, or business processes.

- Collaborate with technical teams to assist in data migration and system upgrades for SAP SD.

- Develop custom reports and provide solutions to business reporting needs within the SAP SD module.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas to optimize SAP SD processes and increase efficiency.

- Ensure alignment with best practices and industry standards for sales and distribution processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 4+ years of hands-on experience working with SAP SD, with a strong understanding of sales order processing, billing, shipping, and pricing functionalities.

- Proven experience in the end-to-end implementation of SAP SD, including blueprinting, configuration, testing, and go-live support.

- Deep knowledge of SAP SD configuration, including the setup of sales order types, delivery types, pricing conditions, and billing processes.

- Experience with integration of SAP SD with other SAP modules such as SAP MM, SAP FI, SAP WM, and SAP PP.

- Strong understanding of order-to-cash (OTC) processes and the ability to streamline these processes using SAP SD.

- Experience in creating functional specifications for custom developments, including user exits, enhancements, and reports.

- Proficiency in system testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with business stakeholders and technical teams.

- Ability to troubleshoot complex SAP SD issues and provide timely resolutions.

- Knowledge of SAP reporting tools and the ability to create reports within SAP SD or related tools.

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

- SAP SD Certification (SAP Certified Application Associate or similar) is highly preferred.

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA, specifically in the SD module, and its latest functionalities.

- Exposure to SAP Fiori apps and SAP Fiori Launchpad for modern user interfaces.

- Experience with data migration tools such as LSMW or SAP BODS.

- Knowledge of SAP CRM or other Customer Relationship Management systems and their integration with SAP SD.

- Experience with Agile project management methodologies and participation in Agile SAP projects.

- Familiarity with advanced SAP SD topics, including credit management, thirdparty order processing, and foreign trade.

- Experience with global SAP implementations, handling multi-country or multi-site configurations.

- Strong knowledge of sales and distribution processes, including order management, delivery scheduling, and invoicing best practices.

- Understanding of regulatory compliance and the ability to implement controls within SAP SD processes.
