We are looking for an experienced SAP R2R Implementation Lead with strong expertise in SAP FI/CO and Record-to-Report (R2R) processes to lead and deliver complex, end-to-end SAP implementation and transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate should have a strong combination of SAP functional expertise, finance domain knowledge, implementation experience, stakeholder management and consulting capabilities. The candidate will be responsible for driving R2R solution design and implementation while working closely with business stakeholders, client leadership and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP R2R / FI-CO Implementation :

- Lead end-to-end SAP R2R implementation projects from requirement gathering through go-live and stabilization.

- Demonstrate strong functional expertise across SAP FI/CO and R2R processes.

- Lead solution design and ensure alignment between SAP capabilities and business requirements.

- Participate in and lead business requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, configuration, testing and deployment.

- Ensure successful integration of R2R processes with other SAP modules and business functions.

- Provide functional guidance and support throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Record-to-Report Functional Expertise :

- Strong understanding and hands-on experience across key R2R processes, including :

1. General Ledger (GL)

2. Accounts Payable (AP)

3. Accounts Receivable (AR)

4. Asset Accounting

5. Financial Accounting

6. Financial Closing

7. Intercompany accounting

8. Period-end and year-end closing processes

9. Financial reporting and reconciliation

10. Integration between finance and other business processes

Solution Design & Consulting :

- Translate business requirements into scalable and effective SAP R2R solutions.

- Define functional specifications and solution approaches.

- Conduct workshops with business and finance stakeholders.

- Identify process improvement and automation opportunities.

- Drive standardization and optimization of finance processes.

- Provide recommendations based on SAP best practices and implementation experience.

Project & Stakeholder Management :

- Lead functional teams and coordinate with technical and cross-functional teams.

- Manage key client stakeholders and maintain strong executive-level relationships.

- Act as a trusted advisor to business and finance leadership.

- Drive project deliverables within agreed timelines, quality and scope.

- Identify project risks, dependencies and issues and drive them to resolution.

- Support project governance, status reporting and stakeholder communication.

Testing & Go-Live :

- Lead functional testing activities including SIT, UAT and regression testing.

- Support defect identification, analysis and resolution.

- Ensure business readiness for deployment.

- Lead cutover and go-live activities from the R2R functional perspective.

- Provide post-go-live support and stabilization.

Mandatory Requirements :

- 12 - 18 years of overall experience in SAP Finance / SAP FI-CO / R2R.

- Minimum 4 - 6 end-to-end SAP R2R implementations.

- Strong hands-on experience in SAP FI/CO.

- Strong understanding of Record-to-Report business processes.

- Excellent knowledge of GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting and Financial Closing.

- Proven experience in requirements gathering, solution design, configuration and implementation.

- Strong experience in client-facing consulting and stakeholder management.

- Demonstrated experience leading SAP functional teams.

- Strong communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.

- Experience working on large-scale SAP transformation / consulting programs is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications :

- CA / CMA / MBA with strong finance and accounting domain knowledge.

- Experience working with large enterprises or global organizations.

- Experience in finance transformation and process standardization initiatives.

- Exposure to complex, multi-country or large-scale SAP implementation programs.

- Ability to work effectively with business, functional and technical stakeholders.

Candidate Profile :

- We are looking for a senior SAP R2R professional who can combine deep SAP functional expertise with strong finance-domain understanding and consulting leadership.

- The ideal candidate should be comfortable operating at both solution and stakeholder-management levels, leading implementation teams while engaging directly with senior client stakeholders.
