SAP PI/PO Integration Consultant

Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP PI/PO Integration Consultant to join our Enterprise Applications team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, configuration, and maintenance of robust application integration scenarios across cloud and on-premise ecosystems.

You will leverage SAP Process Integration (PI) and Process Orchestration (PO) architectures, utilizing both classical directory configurations and advanced scripting languages (Groovy, XSLT) to deliver seamless, secure, and high-performance middleware interfaces.

Key Responsibilities :

Interface Design & Development :

- Architect, configure, and develop end-to-end integration scenarios using SAP PI 7.5 / SAP PO single-stack environments.

- Build and manage design objects within the Enterprise Services Repository (ESR), including Data Types, Message Types, Service Interfaces, and Mapping Programs.

- Configure configuration objects within the Integration Directory (ID), including Communication Components, Integrated Configurations (ICO), and Communication Channels.

- Design and implement complex message mappings using Graphical Mapping, User-Defined Functions (UDFs), XSLT, and Groovy Scripting for advanced data transformations.

Connectivity & Lifecycle Management :

- Implement and configure standard SAP adapters such as IDOC, SOAP, HTTP, SFTP, REST, and RFC to establish seamless communication between SAP and non-SAP systems.

- Handle end-to-end message monitoring, alert configuration, and troubleshooting of runtime interface errors.

- Support system upgrade activities, patch applications, and interface migrations (e.g., dual-stack to single-stack PO or preparing for SAP BTP Integration Suite).

- Collaborate closely with functional consultants and business teams to gather requirements and translate them into Technical Design Documents (TDD).

Candidate Profile & Technical Requirements :

Mandatory Experience & Skills :

- Core Middleware : Extensive hands-on experience working with SAP PI and SAP PO architectures.

- Repository & Directory : Proven proficiency navigating and configuring the ESR (Enterprise Services Repository) and ID (Integration Directory).

- Mapping Frameworks : Strong expertise in advanced mappings utilizing XSLT and Groovy Scripting.

- Protocols & Adapters : In-depth knowledge of handling standard integration protocols, specifically IDOC and SOAP interfaces.

- Problem Solving : Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and message-tracing skills within the SAP Monitor for Java/ABAP environments.
