The Role :

We are seeking an experienced SAP HCM ABAP Technical Consultant with strong expertise in SAP HCM (HR) processes and ABAP development. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in developing, enhancing, and supporting SAP HCM applications across Personnel Administration, Organizational Management, Time Management, and Payroll modules.

The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical solutions, developing SAP Fiori/UI5 applications, integrating SAP HCM with external systems, and supporting end-to-end implementation and maintenance activities.

Responsibilities :

- Develop, enhance, and support SAP HCM/HR ABAP applications and custom developments.

- Analyze functional requirements and prepare technical specifications.

- Design, develop, and implement program objects following SAP best practices.

- Perform unit testing and support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing.

- Collaborate with functional consultants to design technical solutions for business gaps.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, optimize application performance, and provide production support.

- Develop and support SAP interfaces, reports, forms, enhancements, and data migration activities.

- Participate in implementation, rollout, upgrade, and support projects.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.

Must Have Qualifications :

- Minimum 8 years of SAP ABAP development experience with strong expertise in SAP HCM (HR).

- Extensive experience in SAP HCM (HR) processes and related ABAP development.

- Strong expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP (OO ABAP).

- Proven experience utilizing ABAP 7.4+ syntax and features.

- Strong understanding of Classical ABAP and modern ABAP development techniques.

- Hands-on experience in developing Module Pool applications.

- Excellent ABAP programming, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning skills.

- Hands-on experience with Function Modules, Remote Function Calls (RFCs), and BAPIs.

- Experience in designing and implementing various SAP interface technologies.

- Hands-on experience with LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench) for data migration activities.

- Strong experience working with RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) objects.

- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with ALE (Application Link Enabling) and IDoc (Intermediate Document) framework.

- Experience working with cross-application SAP development scenarios.

- Experience in developing and implementing technical specifications from functional requirements.

- Experience in developing and implementing custom program objects.

- Experience performing unit testing and supporting System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production support.

- Experience supporting functional consultants in designing technical solutions for identified business gaps.

- Strong expertise in SAP HCM/HR ABAP development across Personnel Administration (PA), Organizational Management (OM), Time Management (TM), and Payroll (PY) modules.

- Hands-on experience developing custom HR objects, custom Infotypes, and enhancing standard SAP HCM screens using the SAP Enhancement Framework.

- Experience developing or modifying Payroll Schemas, Personnel Calculation Rules (PCRs), and Payroll Functions.

- Experience validating Time Evaluation results and integrating with external Time Management systems.

- Strong experience developing Classical Reports, Interactive Reports, ALV Reports, SmartForms, and Adobe Forms.

- Experience designing and supporting HR integrations using RFCs, IDocs, and BAPIs with external systems.

- Hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying SAP Fiori/UI5 applications for HR processes (ESS/MSS).

- Experience developing and consuming OData Services using SAP NetWeaver Gateway.

- Experience extending and customizing standard SAP Fiori applications using SAP Business Application Studio or SAP Web IDE.

- Experience in end-to-end SAP HCM implementation, enhancements, rollout, production support, and maintenance.

- Experience in technical design, technical specification preparation, functional specification review, incident analysis, troubleshooting, and solution delivery.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- Good knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and the latest SAP technologies is an added advantage.

- Experience working in onsite/offshore development and support engagements.

- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies and cross-functional teams.

- Ability to understand functional specifications and convert them into technical solutions.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
