SAP HCM Payroll Functional Consultant

Position : SAP HCM Payroll Functional Consultant - Multi-Country Payroll

Experience : 6 - 12 years of overall SAP HCM experience, with 4+ years of hands-on SAP Payroll (PY) implementation/support experience.

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced SAP HCM Payroll Functional Consultant with strong hands-on experience in SAP Payroll configuration, implementation, testing and production support across multiple country payrolls. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SAP HCM Payroll, Time Management, Personnel Administration and Payroll integrations, along with proven experience in one or more of the following country payrolls : Brazil, Colombia, Denmark, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Chile, Turkey, Argentina, or Thailand. Experience with multiple countries will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and support end-to-end SAP HCM Payroll implementations, rollouts and support projects.

- Gather business requirements and translate them into SAP Payroll functional solutions.

- Configure SAP Payroll including : 1. Payroll schemas 2. PCRs 3. Wage types 4. Payroll areas 5. Processing classes and cumulations 6. Retroactive accounting 7. Off-cycle payroll 8. Bank transfer/payment processes 9. Payroll posting to FI.

- Configure and support SAP Time Management integration with Payroll.

- Analyze payroll results and troubleshoot payroll calculation issues.

- Perform payroll simulation, validation and reconciliation.

- Support parallel payroll testing, integration testing, UAT and regression testing.

- Prepare functional specifications for ABAP developments and work closely with technical teams.

- Support interfaces between SAP HCM Payroll and third-party systems, Finance, banks and HR applications.

- Participate in cutover, go-live and hypercare activities.

- Provide production support and resolve payroll incidents within agreed SLAs.

- Analyze SAP notes, legal changes and statutory payroll requirements and implement required configuration changes.

- Prepare functional documentation, configuration documents, test scripts and process documentation.

- Work closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, ABAP, Integration and offshore/onshore teams.

- Participate in client workshops and provide functional guidance to business stakeholders.

- Ensure payroll solutions comply with country-specific statutory and regulatory requirements.

Country Payroll Experience :

Candidates should have strong hands-on experience in at least one of the following country payrolls : 1. Brazil Payroll 2. Colombia Payroll 3. Denmark Payroll 4. Portugal Payroll 5. Romania Payroll 6. Sweden Payroll 7. Chile Payroll 8. Turkey Payroll 9. Argentina Payroll 10. Thailand Payroll.

Preferred :

Experience in 2 or more country payrolls, particularly a combination of European and LATAM/APAC payrolls. SAP identifies country-specific payroll localization as including country-specific fields, business rules and tax calculations.

Mandatory Technical Skills :

- Strong SAP HCM Payroll functional knowledge.

- Hands-on configuration experience in SAP PY.

- Strong knowledge of Payroll Schemas and PCRs.

- Wage type configuration and maintenance.

- Payroll processing and payroll control.

- Retroactive payroll processing.

- SAP Time Management integration.

- Experience with PA/OM and HCM master data.

- Functional knowledge of payroll interfaces.

- Experience with ABAP debugging is preferred.

- Strong experience in payroll testing, including parallel payroll testing.

- Experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA HCM.

- Exposure to SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) is an advantage.

Country-Specific Expertise :

The consultant should be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of at least one selected country's : 1. Payroll calculation rules 2. Taxation 3. Social security/contributions 4. Statutory deductions 5. Benefits and allowances 6. Year-end payroll 7. Payroll reporting 8. Legal/statutory reporting 9. Country-specific wage types 10. Country-specific payroll schemas/PCRs 11. Regulatory changes and compliance.

Preferred Skills :

- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).

- Payroll Control Center (PCC).

- SAP Fiori.

- SAP Integration Suite/CPI.

- SAP FI integration.

- Experience with global payroll transformations and rollouts.

- Experience working with distributed/global teams.

- Knowledge of additional country payrolls.

- SAP HCM Payroll certification is an advantage.

- Experience with S/4HANA HCM or ECC-to-S/4HANA transformation.

Education :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, HR or equivalent.

- SAP HCM/SAP Payroll certification is preferred.

- 6+ years SAP HCM experience.

- 4+ years SAP HCM Payroll experience.

- At least 1 - 2 end-to-end SAP Payroll implementations/rollouts.

- Strong hands-on Schema/PCR configuration.

- Experience in at least one of the 10 specified country payrolls.

- Experience with testing, production support and payroll issue resolution.

- Good communication skills.
