Role Overview :

As an SAP HCM Payroll Consultant, you will serve as a subject matter expert responsible for the design, configuration, and maintenance of payroll processes within the SAP ecosystem. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional project teams and client stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Your work will directly influence the accuracy and efficiency of payroll operations, ensuring seamless compliance and timely compensation delivery for thousands of employees across the client's organization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Configure and customize SAP Payroll schemas and rules to align with specific organizational compensation policies and statutory requirements.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex payroll processing issues, ensuring minimal downtime and high data integrity during critical pay cycles.

- Partner with functional and technical teams to design integrations between SAP HCM and third-party time management or finance systems to ensure seamless data flow.

- Lead requirement gathering workshops with business stakeholders to document functional specifications and translate them into effective system configurations.

- Conduct rigorous system testing and user acceptance training to ensure that payroll solutions meet business expectations and regulatory standards before deployment.

- Provide ongoing post-implementation support and optimization, identifying opportunities to streamline payroll workflows and improve system performance.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in SAP HCM Payroll configuration, including deep knowledge of schemas, PCRs, and wage type modeling.

- Proven ability to navigate complex statutory payroll regulations and tax reporting requirements within the SAP environment.

- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose technical bottlenecks and propose sustainable, long-term solutions.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical payroll concepts to non-technical stakeholders and business leaders.

- Proficiency in collaborating within a distributed, remote-first environment while maintaining high levels of accountability and project delivery standards.

- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, complemented by a strong track record of managing end-to-end SAP implementation lifecycles.
