Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced SAP HANA Reporting Delivery Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale native SAP HANA reporting solutions. This role requires a strong balance of deep technical expertise and delivery leadership, with ownership across architecture, development, performance optimization, and stakeholder management.

The role is focused on pure/native SAP HANA reporting and analytics capabilities, including HANA data modeling, SQLScript, XS/XS Advanced, and integration with downstream BI tools.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Delivery Ownership & Program Leadership :

- Own end-to-end delivery of SAP HANA reporting programs from requirements to production

- Ensure delivery quality through strong governance, design reviews, and release controls

- PMO D

Develop and maintain :

- Detailed project plans

- Milestones and dependencies

- Risk and Mitigation

- Effort estimates and delivery schedules

- Ensure strict adherence to scope, timelines, quality standards, and documentation

- Manage risks, issues, and change requests through formal governance processes

- Act as the primary escalation point for delivery, technical, and performance issues

2. Hands-On Technical Leadership - Native SAP HANA :

- Lead solution architecture and hands-on development using native SAP HANA

Design and develop :

- Calculation Views (Graphical & SQL Script-based)

- Attribute and Analytic Views

- Complex SQL Script logic for push-down processing

- Perform hands-on performance tuning, data volume optimization, and memory optimization

- Drive best practices for reusable models, layered view design, and code optimization

- Review and guide development standards across modeling, SQL, and security

3. Reporting & Consumption Layer Enablement :

Enable reporting consumption through :

1. SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

2. Third-party BI tools (Power BI, Datalake)

- Ensure semantic consistency and data accuracy across reporting layers

- Support UAT, business validation, and production sign-offs

4. Stakeholder & Client Management :

- Engage with business stakeholders to translate reporting and analytical needs into technical solutions

- Partner with product owners and leadership on reporting strategy and roadmap

- Communicate delivery status, risks, and decisions to senior management

- Provide solution walkthroughs, demos, and executive updates as required

5. Team Leadership & Mentoring :

- Lead and mentor teams of SAP HANA developers, modelers, and analysts

- Provide hands-on technical guidance and design support

- Conduct code reviews, performance assessments, and knowledge-sharing sessions

- Support onboarding, skill development, and performance management of team members

6. Governance, Security & Standards :

Define and enforce standards for :

1. HANA modeling and naming conventions

2. SQLScript development

3. Transport and deployment processes

4. Version control and documentation

Implement and manage :

1. Analytic privileges

2. Role-based security

3. Authorization concepts in HANA

- Ensure compliance with enterprise data and security policies

Required Skills & Experience :

Mandatory Technical Skills :

- 8+ years of strong hands-on experience with SAP HANA Native Reporting

Expert-level experience in :

1. SAP HANA Modeling (Calculation Views, SQLScript)

- 4 - 6+ years in Technical Lead / Delivery Lead / Architect roles

- Proven experience delivering medium to large-scale HANA programs, including E2E delivery

Experience :

- Ability to remain hands-on while managing delivery and team outcomes

Integration & Data Landscape (Good to Have) :

Experience integrating HANA with :

1. SAP ECC

2. BW on HANA

3. Non-SAP source systems

Reporting and visualization exposure :

1. SAP Analytics Cloud

2. Power BI / Tableau
