About the opportunity :

We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced technology professional to lead business-application and finance-systems transformation for a large organisation.

The individual will partner closely with finance and business stakeholders, translate functional priorities into technology solutions and lead complex programmes across enterprise platforms. The role requires a combination of SAP finance expertise, programme leadership, business partnering and vendor management.

Key responsibilities :

- Partner with finance, controlling, taxation and technology stakeholders to understand business priorities and system requirements.

- Define scalable technology solutions that support financial operations, governance and future business requirements.

- Lead end-to-end transformation programmes covering planning, solution design, implementation, testing, deployment and post-implementation stabilisation.

- Provide governance across finance applications, with particular emphasis on SAP finance platforms.

- Support or lead transitions involving legacy SAP environments and modern enterprise platforms.

- Ensure that proposed solutions meet business, control, compliance and statutory requirements.

- Manage technology partners, implementation vendors and other external service providers.

- Monitor programme risks, budgets, milestones, quality and operational readiness.

- Drive stakeholder alignment, user adoption and change-management activities.

- Evaluate complementary SaaS and enterprise-application solutions where relevant.

Candidate profile :

- Approximately 8 to 15 years of experience in enterprise applications, finance technology, SAP consulting or technology programme management.

- Strong functional and implementation knowledge of SAP FICO.

- Experience working with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA transformation programmes.

- Demonstrated experience leading large system implementations, rollouts or modernisation initiatives.

- Ability to translate finance requirements into robust technology solutions.

- Strong stakeholder-management and business-partnering capabilities.

- Experience managing implementation partners and technology vendors.

- Understanding of finance processes, controls, compliance and statutory requirements.

- Experience in consumer products, retail, manufacturing or another transaction-intensive environment would be preferred.

- MBA, PMP or another relevant professional certification would be advantageous.
