Job Description:

SAP FICO Consultant is a strategic technical and functional leader responsible for the design, configuration, and optimization of the SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Management Accounting (CO) modules. You will lead large-scale digital transformations, specifically focusing on S/4HANA Finance, ensuring that financial processes are streamlined, compliant, and integrated across the enterprise. This role requires a blend of deep financial domain knowledge and expert-level SAP technical proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Solution Leadership: Lead the architectural design and implementation of SAP FICO solutions, ensuring alignment with global accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and business objectives.

- S/4HANA Transformation: Drive the transition from ECC to S/4HANA Finance, utilizing the Universal Journal (ACDOCA), New General Ledger, and Central Finance where applicable.

- End-to-End Configuration: Oversee complex configurations in General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Bank Accounting (including EBRS).

- Controlling Expertise: Lead the design of CO sub-modules, including Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Internal Orders, Product Costing (CO-PC), and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA/Margin Analysis).

- Integration Management: Ensure seamless integration between FICO and other SAP modules such as MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales & Distribution), PP (Production Planning), and HR.

- Strategic Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to CFOs and Finance Directors, providing insights on financial reporting, closing cockpit optimization, and real-time analytics.

- Governance & Compliance: Establish financial controls, manage tax requirements (VAT/GST/Withholding Tax), and ensure the system supports statutory reporting and audit trails.

- Team Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of functional consultants, managing workload distribution, technical escalations, and professional development.

Functional & Technical Qualifications:

- S/4HANA Finance: Mastery of S/4HANA innovations, including Fiori-based financial reporting, Parallel Valuation, and Group Reporting.

- Reporting Tools: Proficiency in SAP Fiori apps, SAP Analysis for Microsoft Office, and an understanding of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for financial planning.

- Technical Literacy: Ability to collaborate with ABAP developers to design custom enhancements, interfaces (IDocs/API), and custom reports (RICEFW).

- Financial Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial business processes (Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay).

Professional Experience & Skills:

- Experience: 1015 years of SAP FICO experience, with at least 3 years in a Lead or Principal capacity.

- Project History: Lead experience in at least two full-cycle S/4HANA Greenfield or Brownfield implementations.

- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications like CPA, CA, or CMA are highly desirable.

- Methodology: Expert knowledge of SAP Activate Methodology and Agile delivery frameworks.

- Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to facilitate workshops and influence C-suite decision-makers.

Key Deliverables:

- Business Blueprint: High-level and detailed design documents for the finance landscape.

- Financial Health: Optimization of Period-End Closing cycles and improvement of data accuracy in financial statements.

- Risk Mitigation: Identifying and resolving technical or functional gaps that could impact financial integrity.
