Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced SAP EMS Configuration & Implementation Consultant with 5 - 7 years of overall SAP experience and at least 3 years of hands-on experience in SAP Event Management (SAP EMS) configuration and implementation.

The candidate will be responsible for leading and executing end-to-end SAP EMS configuration, customization, integration, and implementation activities in alignment with business and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and execute end-to-end SAP EMS configuration and implementation.

- Understand business requirements and translate them into effective SAP EMS solutions.

- Configure EMS master data, event types, rules, workflows, alerts, and monitoring frameworks.

- Configure and customize SAP EMS to support operational and regulatory requirements.

- Design and implement event handling and rule-based processing within SAP EMS.

- Configure alerts, notifications, monitoring, and exception-handling mechanisms.

- Perform system customization, optimization, and fine-tuning based on business requirements.

- Support integration of SAP EMS with core SAP systems including SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.

- Work with integration touchpoints such as IDocs, RFCs, APIs, and SAP CPI from a functional perspective.

- Support integration with external systems and third-party applications.

- Participate in implementation, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support activities.

- Troubleshoot configuration and integration issues and provide appropriate solutions.

- Work closely with business users, functional teams, technical teams, and integration teams.

- Prepare functional documentation, configuration documents, and implementation-related deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 5 - 7 years of overall SAP experience.

- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on SAP EMS / SAP Event Management experience.

- Strong experience in SAP EMS configuration and customization.

- Hands-on knowledge of: SAP EMS master data, Event types and event handling, Rule framework, Alerts and notifications, Workflows, Monitoring and exception handling.

- Strong experience in SAP EMS implementation projects.

- Good understanding of SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA landscapes.

- Good understanding of SAP integration concepts.

- Functional knowledge of: IDocs, RFCs, APIs, SAP CPI.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working on end-to-end SAP EMS implementation projects.

- Experience integrating SAP EMS with external systems.

- Experience in SAP S/4HANA environments.

- Exposure to complex event-management and monitoring scenarios.

- Experience working with cross-functional SAP teams.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- The ideal candidate should be a hands-on SAP EMS Consultant who can independently manage configuration and implementation activities, understand business requirements, configure event-management processes, and work with integration teams to connect EMS with SAP ECC/S/4HANA and external systems.

Must-Have:

- SAP EMS / SAP Event Management + Configuration + Implementation + Event/Rule Framework + 3+ years relevant EMS experience.
