We are seeking an experienced SAP Digital Manufacturing (SAP DM) Technical Consultant / Developer with 9 to 10 years of experience in SAP Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and SAP Digital Manufacturing solutions. The ideal candidate should have successfully participated in at least one full-cycle SAP Digital Manufacturing implementation and possess strong expertise in developing custom Production Operator Dashboards (PODs), SAPUI5 applications, JavaScript-based extensions, and Node.js services on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and enhancing SAP DM applications, creating custom manufacturing user interfaces, integrating shop floor systems, and building side-by-side applications that improve manufacturing execution and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP Digital Manufacturing Development :

- Participate in end-to-end SAP Digital Manufacturing implementation projects.

- Design, develop, and support SAP DM technical solutions based on business requirements.

- Customize SAP DM applications and manufacturing execution processes.

- Develop technical enhancements and extensions to support manufacturing operations.

- Collaborate with functional consultants, manufacturing teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

Production Operator Dashboard (POD) Development :

- Design and develop custom Production Operator Dashboards (PODs) within SAP Digital Manufacturing.

- Customize standard SAP DM PODs to meet business and operational requirements.

- Develop custom operator interfaces for production execution and shop floor activities.

- Create responsive and user-friendly manufacturing dashboards.

- Configure production workflows, operator guidance, work instructions, and production monitoring screens.

- Implement barcode scanning, production tracking, and real-time manufacturing execution functionalities.

SAPUI5 Development :

- Develop custom SAPUI5 applications and reusable UI components.

- Create responsive web applications for manufacturing operations.

- Build custom Fiori-style interfaces and manufacturing dashboards.

- Enhance user experience through modern UI/UX design principles.

- Develop custom forms, production tracking screens, reporting dashboards, and operator interfaces.

- Consume SAP DM APIs and OData services within SAPUI5 applications.

JavaScript Development :

- Develop custom business logic using JavaScript and modern web technologies.

- Build front-end functionality for manufacturing execution applications.

- Develop custom validation rules, workflow controls, and operational enhancements.

- Implement dynamic user interactions and production monitoring capabilities.

- Debug and optimize JavaScript code for high-performance manufacturing applications.

Node.js Development :

- Design and develop backend services using Node.js.

- Create REST APIs and microservices supporting SAP DM extensions.

- Build integration services connecting SAP DM with external systems.

- Develop middleware components for data exchange between manufacturing systems.

- Implement authentication, authorization, logging, and error-handling mechanisms.

- Optimize application performance and scalability.

SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) :

- Develop and deploy applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

- Build side-by-side extensions for SAP Digital Manufacturing.

- Utilize SAP BTP services for application development, integration, and security.

- Configure Cloud Foundry environments and deployment pipelines.

- Develop cloud-native manufacturing applications.

- Implement extension strategies while preserving SAP standard functionality.

SAP MES & Manufacturing Integration :

- Work extensively with SAP MES solutions such as SAP ME and SAP DM.

- Support integration between SAP Digital Manufacturing and shop floor systems.

- Configure and develop interfaces for production execution processes.

- Integrate production orders, routings, work centers, resources, and manufacturing data.

- Support machine connectivity and manufacturing automation initiatives.

API & Integration Development :

- Develop and consume REST APIs, OData services, and SAP APIs.

- Integrate SAP DM with : SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP ME, SAP MII, Third-party Manufacturing Systems, MES Platforms, and Shop Floor Equipment.

- Troubleshoot integration issues and optimize data flow.

Testing & Support :

- Prepare technical design documents and development specifications.

- Perform unit testing, system testing, and integration testing.

- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production deployments.

- Troubleshoot application issues and provide technical support.

- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.

- Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations.

Required Technical Skills :

SAP Technologies :

- SAP Digital Manufacturing (SAP DM), SAP Manufacturing Execution Systems (SAP ME), SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, OData Services, and SAP Cloud Platform Extensions.

Programming Skills :

- JavaScript (Advanced), Node.js, HTML5, CSS3, REST APIs, JSON, and AJAX.

Manufacturing Domain Knowledge :

- Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Shop Floor Operations, Production Execution, Routing Management, Work Centers, Resource Management, Operator Guidance, Production Monitoring, and Manufacturing Analytics.

Integration Technologies :

- REST APIs, OData APIs, SAP Integration Technologies, API Development, and System-to-System Integration.

Mandatory Qualifications :

- 4 to 8+ years of IT experience.

- Minimum one complete SAP Digital Manufacturing (SAP DM) implementation project.

- Hands-on experience with SAP ME or other SAP MES solutions.

- Strong experience developing custom Production Operator Dashboards (PODs).

- Strong SAPUI5 development experience.

- Advanced JavaScript programming skills.

- Strong Node.js development experience.

- Hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).

- Experience developing side-by-side extensions and custom manufacturing applications.

- Experience consuming and developing REST APIs and OData services.

- Strong understanding of manufacturing business processes.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing integration.

- Experience with SAP MII.

- Knowledge of Cloud Foundry environment.

- Experience with Manufacturing Industry 4.0 initiatives.

- SAP BTP Certification.

- SAP Digital Manufacturing Certification.

- Experience in Automotive, Industrial Manufacturing, Electronics, Life Sciences, or Consumer Products industries.

Educational Qualification :

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

- SAP Certifications in SAP Digital Manufacturing, SAP BTP, SAPUI5, or SAP Manufacturing solutions will be an added advantage.
