Role Overview :

As an SAP Databricks Consultant, you will serve as a bridge between traditional SAP data environments and modern cloud-native analytics platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that integrate SAP data with Databricks. Your contributions will directly influence how organizations consume and analyze their enterprise data, ensuring that complex business processes are supported by robust, high-performance data architectures that facilitate real-time decision-making.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and implement end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines to migrate and integrate SAP data into Databricks environments to ensure data availability for downstream analytics.

- Develop and optimize complex data processing workflows using Python and Apache Spark to handle large-scale enterprise datasets efficiently.

- Design logical and physical data models that align with business requirements and optimize query performance across the data lakehouse.

- Implement robust data governance and cataloging frameworks to ensure data quality, lineage, and compliance across cloud environments.

- Collaborate with SAP functional consultants and business analysts to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical data solutions.

- Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks in data pipelines to maintain high availability and reliability of data services for end-users.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated proficiency in building data engineering solutions using Databricks and Apache Spark, with a strong command of Python for data manipulation.

- Deep understanding of SAP data structures and experience in extracting and migrating data from SAP modules into cloud-based data platforms.

- Advanced SQL skills for complex data transformation, analysis, and performance tuning within distributed computing environments.

- Proven ability to design and implement data modeling strategies that support enterprise-level reporting and analytics.

- Expertise in cloud data governance and cataloging tools to manage metadata and ensure data security and compliance.

- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work effectively in a collaborative, client-facing environment.

- Minimum of 1 to 6 years of relevant experience in data engineering or SAP analytics roles.

- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment based in Bangalore, demonstrating self-motivation and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
