Role : SAP Data Integration Specialist (SAP ? AWS Analytics)

Role Summary :

We are looking for an experienced SAP Data Integration Specialist to lead and support data extraction and integration from SAP systems into AWS-based analytics platforms. This is a client-facing role requiring strong expertise in SAP data structures, extraction techniques, and the ability to bridge SAP functional teams with cloud data engineering teams.

Experience : 4+ years

Key Responsibilities :

SAP Data Extraction & Integration :

- Design and guide data extraction strategies from SAP systems (ECC / S/4HANA)

- Work with extraction methods such as CDS Views / OData, SAP SLT, RFC / ABAP-based extraction, and Database-level extraction

- Identify optimal extraction approach based on data volume, latency, and complexity

SAP Data Modeling & Understanding :

- Deep understanding of SAP modules : FI/CO, SD, MM

- Analyze SAP tables, relationships, and business logic

- Ensure business context is preserved during extraction

AWS Data Platform Collaboration :

- Work closely with data engineers using AWS Glue, Amazon S3, and AWS Database Migration Service

- Define source-to-target mappings for data lake ingestion

- Support data transformation and validation

Stakeholder & Client Engagement :

- Act as a bridge between customer SAP teams and AWS/data engineering teams

- Translate business and SAP requirements into technical data pipelines

- Participate in client discussions and solution design

Data Quality & Validation :

- Ensure completeness and accuracy of extracted data

- Define reconciliation strategies between SAP and target systems

- Support testing and validation cycles

Required Skills :

- Strong experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA

- Hands-on knowledge of SAP data extraction techniques (CDS, OData, SLT, RFC)

- Strong understanding of SAP table structures and business processes

- Experience working with data engineering or analytics teams

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with AWS services like AWS Glue, Amazon S3, AWS Database Migration Service

- SQL and data querying skills

- Experience in data lake / data warehouse environments

- Exposure to SAP HANA or Sybase environments
