SAP BW/4HANA Consultant - Support and Enhancement

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced SAP BW/4HANA Consultant with strong ABAP skills to support, enhance, monitor, and stabilize enterprise data warehousing solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SAP BW/4HANA support, ABAP troubleshooting, data extraction monitoring, process chain management, BW query support, defect resolution, testing, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide day-to-day support for SAP BW/4HANA data warehouse solutions, including monitoring, issue analysis, and operational stability.

- Maintain and enhance ADSOs, Composite Providers, OpenODS Views, Transformations, DTPs, Process Chains, and BW Queries as per business requirements.

- Analyze and resolve production incidents related to data loads, transformations, extraction failures, process chains, and reporting issues.

- Perform enhancements and fixes in ABAP routines, including Start Routines, End Routines, Field Routines, Customer Exits, and User Exit Variables.

- Support SAP data extraction using ODP, standard extractors, generic extractors, and custom extractors.

- Coordinate with SAP ECC and S/4HANA source teams for data reconciliation, extraction issues, and functional clarifications across SD, MM, FI/CO and other modules.

- Troubleshoot and support Function Modules, BADIs and CMOD enhancements used in BW data flows.

- Monitor and optimize BW data flows, process chains, and query performance to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

- Support and enhance BW Queries, including RKF, CKF, variables, filters, restricted key figures, calculated key figures, and User Exit Variables.

- Perform root-cause analysis, impact assessment, defect fixing, retesting, and deployment support for incidents and enhancement requests.

- Handle production support activities including ticket analysis, SLA adherence, transport coordination, and post-deployment validation.

- Work closely with functional teams, business stakeholders, and upstream/downstream application teams to understand issues and provide timely resolutions.

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, UAT support, and performance validation for fixes and enhancements.

- Contribute to support best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Mandatory Skills :

- 3 - 6 years or 6 - 9 years of SAP BW/BW/4HANA support and enhancement experience.

- Strong hands-on experience in SAP BW/4HANA support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and enhancements.

- Good ABAP debugging and enhancement experience in BW routines, exits, and related objects.

- Good understanding of Function Modules, BADIs, CMOD enhancements, and BW User Exit Variables.

- Experience in incident management, root-cause analysis, defect fixing, testing, and transport movement.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have :

- Experience with SAP HANA Studio / Eclipse for troubleshooting and enhancements.

- Knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) reporting support.

- Understanding of SD, MM, FI/CO functional processes for issue analysis and business coordination.

- Experience with ITSM tools, ticket handling, SLA tracking, and production support processes.

- Knowledge of Agile or DevOps ways of working for enhancement delivery.
