SAP BusinessObjects Consultant

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced SAP BusinessObjects Consultant to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions using the SAP BusinessObjects platform. The candidate will be responsible for creating reports, dashboards, and data visualization solutions to support business decision-making and ensure efficient data reporting across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP BO Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain reports using SAP BusinessObjects tools such as :

1. Web Intelligence (WebI)

2. Crystal Reports

3. SAP Lumira / Dashboards

4. Analysis for Office

- Develop universes using IDT (Information Design Tool) or UDT.

- Build and optimize complex queries and data models.

Data & Reporting :

- Create interactive dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.

- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and performance tuning.

- Work with large datasets from various sources including SAP and non-SAP systems.

Integration & Data Sources :

- Integrate SAP BO with SAP BW, HANA, or other databases.

- Work with SQL databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or HANA.

- Support ETL processes and data extraction.

Support & Maintenance :

- Provide production support and issue resolution for BO reports.

- Manage user access, security roles, and scheduling in the BO platform.

- Perform system upgrades, migrations, and performance optimization.

Collaboration :

- Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to gather reporting requirements.

- Translate business needs into technical reporting solutions.

- Document technical specifications and reporting solutions.

Required Skills :

Technical Skills :

- Strong experience in SAP BusinessObjects (BO) suite

- Expertise in :

1. Web Intelligence (WebI)

2. Crystal Reports

3. Universe Design (IDT/UDT)

- Strong SQL knowledge

- Experience with SAP BW / SAP HANA integration

Tools & Technologies :

- SAP BO 4.x platform

- Information Design Tool (IDT)

- SAP BI Launchpad

- SAP Lumira / Dashboards

- Crystal Reports

- SQL, PL/SQL

Experience Requirements :

- 5- 12 years of experience in SAP BusinessObjects development

- Experience with end-to-end BI implementation

- Experience in report development, universe design, and dashboard creation

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with SAP BW or SAP HANA

- Knowledge of ETL tools (Informatica, Data Services, etc.)

- Understanding of data warehousing concepts

- Experience working in Agile environments

Certifications (Preferred) :

- SAP Certified Application Associate SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence

- SAP BI / BO Certification
