SAP Business AI & BTP Technical Consultant (Experience 8 - 12 Years)

Responsible for implementing, coding, and configuring the technical components of the Autonomous Enterprise. Working under the direction of the Technical Architect, this role focuses on the execution of AI use cases, building CAP/RAP extensions, configuring SAP AI Core, and implementing semantic search data pipelines on SAP BTP.

Key Technical Responsibilities :

- AI Feature Development : Implement and configure generative AI features using SAP AI Core and SAP AI Launchpad. Good experience of deployment scripts for LLM access, manage model routing, and construct system-level prompt templates.

- Coding & Business Logic : Develop clean-core compliant extensions using the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) or ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) to embed agentic capabilities into standard business flows.

- Joule Customization : Configure and deploy Joule skills, intents, and conversational pathways. Expose OData/REST endpoints from back-end systems to power Joule's contextual orchestration.

- Data & Vector Implementation : Build data models in SAP Datasphere and execute semantic storage strategies in SAP HANA Cloud. Have deep understanding of queries and optimize indexing within the HANA Vector Engine to support Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

- Integration & Event Routing : Build and support end-to-end integration flows using SAP BTP Integration Suite and configure SAP Event Mesh to handle real-time, asynchronous events triggered by autonomous agents.

- Technical Testing : Debug AI-driven pipelines, optimize inference latency, validate automated guardrails, and write automated test cases for custom BTP applications.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

- Experience : 8+ years of SAP experience, with minimum 4+ years of deep experience on SAP BTP, with proven implementation exposure to generative AI capabilities or advanced SAP extension projects.

- Core Languages : Strong proficiency in Node.js, Python, or ABAP (depending on assignment focus) and excellent scripting skills in SQL/SQLScript.

- SAP Toolset : Practical familiarity with SAP AI Core, SAP Datasphere, SAP HANA Cloud, Business Application Studio (BAS), and SAP Integration Suite.

- Framework Awareness : Understanding of engineering frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex and experience utilizing RESTful APIs / OData services.

- Methodology : Strong grasp of the SAP Clean Core strategy and cloud-native software development lifecycle (Git, CI/CD).

- Soft Skills : Good Communication (Verbal / Oral); Willing learner with a strong self-development habit. Collaborative team player, comfortable working across time zones.
