Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (SAP BODS) Technical Consultant with 7-8 years of hands-on experience in SAP BODS upgrades, repository migration, technical administration, and environment management. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in planning and executing SAP BODS platform upgrades, repository migration, production support, and troubleshooting across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) platform upgrades.

Perform repository migration and environment alignment across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.

Support upgrade planning, execution, validation, testing, and production cutover activities.

Coordinate with functional consultants, business users, and testing teams during upgrade cycles.

Troubleshoot upgrade-related issues, repository connectivity problems, and environment configuration issues.

Perform SAP BODS technical administration activities including repository management, Job Server support, Designer connectivity, and UI-related troubleshooting.

Ensure smooth production deployment and provide post-upgrade support.

Validate upgrade readiness and support defect resolution during testing phases.

Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams for environment readiness.

Maintain technical documentation, migration plans, and upgrade procedures.

Required Skills

7-8 years of experience in SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (SAP BODS).

Strong experience in SAP BODS platform upgrades.

Hands-on experience in repository migration and environment alignment.

Experience supporting Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.

Strong understanding of Job Server, Repositories, Designer, and Data Services Management Console (DSMC).

Experience with installation, configuration, and administration of SAP BODS environments.

Good understanding of SAP and Non-SAP system integrations.

Strong troubleshooting skills related to upgrades, repositories, connectivity, and production issues.

Experience supporting testing, production cutover, and post-go-live activities.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.

Knowledge of LSMW, LTMC, IDOC, and BAPI.

Experience working in enterprise migration or transformation programs.

Exposure to multiple SAP BODS versions (4.2, 4.3, 4.5).

Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management.
