Consultant SAP Basis

Role Purpose :

We are looking for a skilled SAP Basis Consultant to manage, optimize, and support SAP S/4HANA landscapes. The role is responsible for ensuring system stability, security, performance, and availability across SAP environments while supporting ongoing SAP initiatives and collaborating with functional and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP System Administration & Landscape Management :

- Administer SAP environments including installation, configuration, refreshes, and maintenance.

- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity utilization.

- Manage SAP landscapes across Development, Quality, and Production environments.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization :

- Analyze system performance and identify bottlenecks.

- Perform tuning activities for SAP application servers and HANA databases.

- Optimize system response times and overall performance.

Transport Management & Change Control :

- Manage SAP Transport Management System (TMS).

- Coordinate transport movements across landscapes.

- Ensure compliance with change management and governance processes.

Security & User Administration :

- Manage SAP users, roles, authorizations, and access controls.

- Implement security policies and support audit compliance.

- Monitor and resolve security vulnerabilities.

Backup, Recovery & High Availability :

- Plan and execute backup and recovery procedures.

- Support disaster recovery and high-availability strategies.

- Conduct periodic health checks and preventive maintenance activities.

Upgrade, Patch & Lifecycle Management :

- Support SAP upgrades, kernel updates, patches, and enhancement implementations.

- Coordinate system improvements with internal and external stakeholders.

- Minimize downtime during maintenance activities.

Issue Resolution & Technical Support :

- Troubleshoot SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, HANA Database, and BTP-related BASIS issues.

- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

- Maintain incident logs and technical documentation.

Documentation & Governance :

- Maintain technical documentation, system architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.

- Ensure compliance with governance, audit, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications :

Experience :

- 46 years of SAP Basis administration experience.

- Hands-on experience managing end-to-end SAP landscapes.

Education :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Certifications :

- SAP Basis Certification preferred.

Technical Skills :

- SAP BASIS administration (ECC and S/4HANA).

- SAP Fiori administration and support.

- SAP Transport Management System (TMS).

- HANA Database administration.

- System monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

- Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.

Added Advantage :

- Experience with SAP BTP.

- Exposure to AWS/Azure cloud environments.

- Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager and ChaRM.
