Role Overview :

As a SAP Basis Administrator, you will serve as the backbone of our enterprise landscape, ensuring the stability, performance, and security of mission-critical SAP environments. You will work closely with functional consultants, infrastructure teams, and project stakeholders to oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of SAP systems. This role is pivotal in maintaining high availability for our clients, where your technical interventions directly influence system uptime, data integrity, and the overall efficiency of business-critical processes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP Netweaver and SAP HANA environments to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.

- Execute complex system upgrades, support package stacks, and kernel patches to keep the infrastructure compliant with the latest security and functional standards.

- Monitor system health, perform database administration, and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks to minimize downtime for end-users.

- Implement robust backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical business data against potential system failures.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage transport requests and ensure seamless code deployment across development, quality, and production environments.

- Optimize SAP HANA memory management and performance tuning to support high-volume data processing requirements for business stakeholders.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in managing SAP Netweaver and SAP HANA landscapes, including deep knowledge of system architecture and administration.

- Proven ability to handle complex system migrations, upgrades, and performance tuning in large-scale enterprise environments.

- Strong analytical mindset to diagnose and resolve intricate technical issues within the SAP stack independently.

- Excellent communication skills to effectively translate technical requirements to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate within a global team structure.

- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment in Bangalore, maintaining high levels of productivity and responsiveness.

- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, complemented by 5 to 15 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration.
