Role Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP ABAP HCM Consultant to join a premier MNC team in Pune. This role is designed for a technical expert who bridges the gap between core ABAP development and the specialized functional requirements of Human Capital Management (HCM). You will be responsible for the full-lifecycle development of HR solutions, including complex reporting using Logical Databases (PNPCE/PCH), Infotype enhancements, and the management of Payroll/Time clusters. With at least one end-to-end implementation under your belt, you will drive technical excellence through BAdIs, User Exits, and advanced form design (Adobe/Smart Forms). The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the PA/OM data models and has the architectural vision to optimize HR processes in a high-scale enterprise environment.
Responsibilities :
- Full-Lifecycle Implementation : Lead the technical execution of at least one end-to-end SAP implementation, from requirement gathering to go-live and hypercare.
- HCM Reporting Mastery : Design and develop complex HR reports utilizing Logical Databases (PNP, PNPCE, and PCH) to ensure efficient data retrieval across Personnel Administration and Organizational Management.
- Data Model Architecture : Implement and optimize PA (Personnel Administration) and OM (Organizational Management) data models to support global HR structures.
- Payroll & Time Integration : Manage and extract data from Payroll (Results) and Time Clusters, ensuring high-precision data handling for financial and compliance reporting.
- Infotype Engineering : Perform advanced Infotype enhancements (PA and OM) to capture custom business attributes while maintaining standard SAP integrity.
- Form Design & Output : Create and maintain sophisticated output documents using SAP Scripts, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, and specialized HR Forms.
- System Enhancements : Implement custom business logic through BAdIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, and Enhancement Frameworks to meet unique organizational requirements.
- Interface Development : Design and support ALE/IDoc, BAPI, and RFC-based interfaces to integrate HCM with external third-party systems.
- Performance Tuning : Conduct deep-dive code reviews and performance optimization of existing ABAP programs to handle large-scale HR datasets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with HCM Functional Consultants to translate business blueprints into technical specifications.
Technical Requirements :
- SAP ABAP Expertise : 5+ years of core ABAP experience with a strong focus on the HR module.
- Logical Database Proficiency : Hands-on experience with PNPCE for concurrent employment and PCH for hierarchical organizational structures.
- Cluster Data Management : Proven ability to work with macros (RP-IMP-C2-Rx) to read payroll results and time evaluation clusters.
- Enhancement Mastery : Expertise in the Switch Framework and classic/kernel-based BAdIs for HR-specific triggers.
- Document UI : Advanced proficiency in Adobe LiveCycle Designer for HR Adobe Forms.
- Implementation Pedigree : Documented experience in at least one full-cycle SAP HR rollout.
Preferred Skills :
- HCM Functional Knowledge : Basic understanding of HR processes (Payroll, Time Management, Recruitment) to better interpret technical requirements.
- Web Dynpro / Fiori : Knowledge of ABAP Web Dynpro for ESS/MSS or SAP Fiori/UI5 for modern HR applications is a significant plus.
- Object-Oriented ABAP : Strong command of OO-ABAP for building modular and reusable HR components.
- Agile Delivery : Experience working in a global delivery model within an Agile/Scrum framework.
- Analytical Problem Solving : Exceptional ability to troubleshoot complex production issues within the HR cluster environment.
