We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with strong expertise in SAP Logistics Execution (LE) and Warehouse Management (WM).

The ideal candidate should have 410+ years of SAP ABAP development experience and possess hands-on expertise in implementing major enhancements, support projects, rollout initiatives, and development activities within SAP Warehouse Management environments.

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting custom SAP ABAP solutions related to warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics execution, and supply chain processes.

The role requires strong technical ABAP expertise combined with functional knowledge of SAP LE/WM processes, transactions, tables, and integrations.

The consultant will work closely with business users, functional consultants, warehouse operations teams, and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality SAP solutions that support warehouse and logistics business requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP ABAP Development :

- Design, develop, test, and deploy SAP ABAP solutions based on business and functional requirements.

- Develop custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, workflows, conversions, and objects using SAP ABAP technologies.

- Analyze technical specifications and convert functional requirements into technical solutions.

- Ensure adherence to SAP development standards, coding guidelines, and best practices.

- Perform performance tuning and optimization of custom ABAP programs.

LE/WM Functional Development :

- Develop and support ABAP solutions within SAP Logistics Execution (LE) and Warehouse Management (WM) modules.

- Work closely with warehouse operations teams to understand business processes and system requirements.

Support warehouse processes including :

1. Goods Receipt

2. Goods Issue

3. Transfer Orders

4. Transfer Requirements

5. Putaway Strategies

6. Picking Processes

7. Stock Transfers

8. Physical Inventory

9. Inventory Reconciliation

- Develop custom enhancements supporting warehouse automation and operational efficiency.

Enhancements & Custom Development :

- Participate in large-scale SAP enhancement and implementation projects.

- Develop user exits, customer exits, BAdIs, enhancement points, and implicit/explicit enhancements.

- Customize SAP standard functionality to meet client-specific business requirements.

- Design and implement complex business logic within warehouse management processes.

- Support change requests, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Reports, Interfaces & Forms Development :

Develop and enhance :

1. Classical Reports

2. Interactive Reports

3. ALV Reports

4. SmartForms

5. SAP Scripts

6. Adobe Forms

- Build inbound and outbound interfaces between SAP and external systems.

- Develop file-based integrations, IDoc interfaces, RFCs, BAPIs, and APIs.

- Ensure seamless data exchange between warehouse systems and enterprise applications.

LE/WM Technical Expertise :

- Work extensively with LE/WM master data and transactional data.

- Utilize knowledge of warehouse management tables, transactions, and business processes for development and troubleshooting.

- Analyze warehouse-related issues and provide technical resolutions.

- Support integration between LE/WM and other SAP modules including:

1. SAP MM (Materials Management)

2. SAP SD (Sales and Distribution)

3. SAP PP (Production Planning)

4. SAP QM (Quality Management)

Data Migration & Conversion :

- Support data migration and data conversion activities.

- Develop LSMW programs, BDC programs, and migration tools.

- Assist in master data and transactional data migration during implementation and upgrade projects.

Technical Troubleshooting & Support :

- Provide production support and issue resolution for warehouse management applications.

- Analyze and troubleshoot ABAP dumps, performance issues, interface failures, and application errors.

- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

- Support incident, problem, and change management processes.

Testing & Documentation :

- Prepare technical design documents and development specifications.

- Conduct unit testing and support system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT).

- Maintain technical documentation for developed objects and enhancements.

- Participate in deployment, cutover, and go-live support activities.

SAP WM (Warehouse Management) :

- Warehouse Structure Configuration Knowledge, Transfer Orders, Transfer Requirements, Putaway Strategies, Picking Strategies, Inventory Management, Physical Inventory, Warehouse Monitoring, Stock Management.

SAP Integration :

- SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP PP, SAP QM, External System Integration.

Technical Tools :

- SAP Data Dictionary, Debugging, Performance Tuning, Batch Jobs, Data Migration Tools.

Required Qualifications :

- 9 to 10 years of SAP ABAP development experience.

- Strong hands-on experience in SAP LE/WM environments.

- Extensive experience working on major SAP enhancement and implementation projects.

- Strong knowledge of LE/WM business processes, transactions, and tables.

- Experience developing custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows.

- Experience with user exits, BAdIs, enhancements, BAPIs, RFCs, and IDocs.

- Good understanding of warehouse operations and logistics business processes.

- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- SAP S/4HANA experience.

- Experience with SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management).

- Exposure to RF Framework and warehouse automation projects.

- Experience in manufacturing, retail, logistics, or distribution industries.

- SAP ABAP Certification.

Educational Qualification :

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

- SAP Certification in ABAP or Logistics modules will be an added advantage.
