Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant - Data Migration with a strong background in SAP data migration projects and ABAP development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and executing data migration solutions for SAP implementations and S/4HANA transformation programs.

The role requires deep technical knowledge of SAP ABAP, migration methodologies, and tools such as LSMW, BDC, BAPI, IDocs, and S/4HANA Migration Cockpit. The candidate will work closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure accurate and seamless migration of legacy data into SAP systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute end-to-end data migration strategies for SAP implementation and transformation projects.

- Develop custom ABAP programs for data extraction, transformation, validation, cleansing, and loading activities.

- Perform data mapping between legacy systems and SAP applications.

- Build and enhance migration solutions using :

1. LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench)

2. BDC (Batch Data Communication)

3. BAPIs

4. IDocs

5. S/4HANA Migration Cockpit (LTMOM)

- Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and migration objectives.

- Conduct data quality assessments and implement validation checks to ensure data integrity.

- Support mock migrations, test cycles, cutover activities, and go-live support.

- Troubleshoot migration issues and optimize data load performance.

- Prepare technical specifications, migration templates, and project documentation.

- Ensure compliance with SAP development standards and best practices.

Required Skills :

- 5-8 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.

- Proven experience in large-scale SAP Data Migration projects.

- Strong expertise in :

1. SAP ABAP

2. Data Migration

3. BDC

4. BAPI

5. IDocs

6. LSMW

7. S/4HANA Migration Cockpit (LTMOM)

- Experience in developing custom migration programs and data conversion tools.

- Strong understanding of SAP data structures and master/transactional data migration.

Experience working with SAP modules such as :

1. Materials Management (MM)

2. Sales & Distribution (SD)

3. Financial Accounting (FI)

4. Production Planning (PP)

- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projects.

- Knowledge of SAP Data Services or other ETL tools is an added advantage.

- Exposure to SAP migration methodologies and cutover planning.

- SAP ABAP certification preferred.

Educational Qualification :

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
