SAP ABAP Consultant - ECC & S/4 HANA Development

Job Title : SAP ABAP Consultant / Senior SAP ABAP Developer

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with strong expertise in SAP ECC/S4 HANA development. The ideal candidate should possess deep technical knowledge in core ABAP development along with exposure to business processes in SD, MM, PS, Inventory Management, and Asset Accounting modules. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting SAP custom developments, interfaces, reports, workflows, and Fiori-based applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and enhance SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.

- Work extensively on Core ABAP developments in S/4 HANA and HANA Database environments.

- Design and develop ALV reports, custom reports, smart forms, and enhancements based on business requirements.

- Develop custom upload programs using BAPIs, BDCs, and LSMW techniques.

- Work on SAP enhancements including User Exits, BADIs, Enhancements Framework, and Implicit/Explicit Enhancements.

- Collaborate with functional consultants across SD, MM, PS, Inventory Management, and Asset Accounting modules.

- Develop and maintain SAP interfaces using SAP PI/PO, Web Services, APIs, and IDocs.

- Create and consume ODATA services and work on CDS Views and ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).

- Support SAP Fiori application developments and UI enhancements.

- Participate in requirement gathering, technical design, coding, testing, deployment, and production support activities.

- Troubleshoot and optimize SAP custom developments for performance improvements.

- Prepare technical documentation and ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices.

Mandatory Skills :

- Strong experience in SAP ABAP development with 8-10 years of hands-on experience.

- Expertise in Core ABAP, Data Dictionary, Reports, Module Pool, Forms, and Enhancements.

- Experience working on S/4 HANA or HANA Database.

- Strong experience in ALV Reporting and custom enhancements.

- Hands-on experience in developing custom upload programs using BAPIs.

- Good functional understanding of :

i. Sales & Distribution (SD)

ii. Materials Management (MM)

iii. Project Systems (PS)

iv. Inventory Management

v. Asset Accounting

- Experience in debugging and performance optimization.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience in Workflow and Web Dynpro developments.

- Exposure to SAP PI/PO integrations and interface developments.

- Knowledge of Web Services, APIs, IDocs, and integration frameworks.

- Experience in ODATA, CDS Views, and ABAP RAP developments.

- Experience in SAP Fiori application development and deployment.

- Knowledge of SAP UI5 will be an added advantage.

Educational Qualification :

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Candidate Profile :

- Candidate should have strong hands-on coding experience in ABAP developments.

- Experience in large-scale SAP implementation/support projects is preferred.

- Ability to handle end-to-end technical development lifecycle independently.
