Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Compass Developer with strong experience in system integration, interface development, batch processing, and data exchange. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interfaces between Compass and external or internal systems, ensuring seamless data flow, reliability, and performance across enterprise applications. The role requires strong technical expertise in integration development, interface analysis, troubleshooting, and support of batch jobs and scheduled data transfers. The candidate should be able to analyze business and technical requirements, produce detailed interface specifications, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain system interfaces between Compass and external or internal systems.

- Analyse integration requirements and translate them into detailed technical interface specifications.

- Develop and support batch processing jobs, scheduled data exchanges, and file-based integrations.

- Ensure accurate and timely movement of data across systems with minimal disruption.

- Work closely with business analysts, application teams, and infrastructure teams to understand integration needs.

- Troubleshoot interface failures, data issues, and batch processing errors in a timely manner.

- Monitor interface performance and ensure stability, reliability, and compliance with technical standards.

- Support end-to-end testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing for interface solutions.

- Document interface designs, technical specifications, support procedures, and operational runbooks.

- Perform code reviews, root cause analysis, and production support for integration-related issues.

- Ensure adherence to development standards, security guidelines, and data governance practices.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

- Provide technical support during deployments, releases, and production cutovers.

- Maintain awareness of system dependencies and ensure smooth coordination between connected applications.

- Development and maintenance of Compass interfaces with internal and external systems.

- Analysis and documentation of integration requirements and interface specifications.

- Delivery and support of batch processing and data exchange solutions.

- Resolution of interface defects, production issues, and data inconsistencies.

- Collaboration with stakeholders for requirement clarification and solution delivery.

- Quality assurance through testing, validation, and defect resolution.

Required Skillsets :

- Strong experience in system integration and interface development.

- Hands-on experience in designing and supporting batch processing and data exchange solutions.

- Strong understanding of application-to-application communication and file-based integrations.

- Experience in analysing business requirements and preparing technical specifications.

- Proficiency in troubleshooting interface failures and resolving production issues.

- Strong knowledge of data formats such as XML, JSON, CSV, and flat files.

- Experience with APIs, web services, middleware, and integration tools.

- Strong understanding of data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.

- Experience in writing and maintaining technical documentation.

- Familiarity with scheduling tools, job monitoring, and batch control processes.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Good understanding of SDLC, testing, deployment, and support processes.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple integration tasks simultaneously.

- Experience working in enterprise environments with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience working on Compass or similar enterprise platforms.

- Exposure to integration frameworks, middleware platforms, or ETL tools.

- Experience in production support and incident management.

- Knowledge of database concepts and SQL for data validation and troubleshooting.

- Experience in Agile or iterative delivery environments.

- Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools for interface support.
