Job Description

About the Role :

We are looking for a skilled Salesforce Education Cloud Admin/Developer with 46 years of hands-on Salesforce experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong mix of Salesforce administration, development, configuration, automation, and business solution understanding, especially in the education domain.

This role is not limited to development only. We are looking for someone who can understand business requirements, interact with stakeholders, analyze education-related processes, and suggest the right Salesforce solution approach before implementation.

The candidate should be comfortable working on Salesforce Education Cloud / Education Data Architecture, student lifecycle processes, custom development, integrations, automation, reporting, and ongoing platform support.

Key Responsibilities :

- Configure, administer, and enhance Salesforce Education Cloud based on business requirements.

- Work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable Salesforce solutions.

- Support education business processes such as student recruitment, admissions, enrollment, advising, student success, case management, academic programs, and learner engagement.

- Design and implement Salesforce solutions using configuration-first best practices, including objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, flows, approval processes, reports, and dashboards.

- Develop custom solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, SOSL, and Salesforce platform tools where configuration alone is not sufficient.

- Customize and support Education Cloud / Education Data Architecture objects and relationships as per business needs.

- Build and maintain automation using Salesforce Flow, scheduled flows, record-triggered flows, and approval processes.

- Support data migration, data quality, deduplication, import/export activities, and data governance processes.

- Configure and maintain Salesforce security including roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, field-level security, and record access.

- Participate in solution discussions and suggest best-fit approaches considering scalability, maintainability, user adoption, and Salesforce best practices.

- Create technical documentation, configuration documents, solution notes, and deployment details.

- Support integrations with external systems such as student information systems, learning management systems, payment platforms, marketing tools, or third-party applications.

- Perform unit testing, support UAT, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate production deployments.

- Work with admins, developers, QA teams, and business users to deliver high-quality Salesforce enhancements.

Required Skills:

- 46 years of overall Salesforce experience as an Admin/Developer.

- Hands-on experience with Salesforce configuration and administration.

- Experience or strong understanding of Salesforce Education Cloud and/or Education Data Architecture.

- Good understanding of education domain processes such as admissions, student lifecycle, enrollment, academic programs, advising, student services, or learner engagement.

- Strong experience in Salesforce Flow, validation rules, approval processes, reports, dashboards, and security configuration.

- Hands-on development experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, SOSL, and Salesforce triggers.

- Ability to decide when to use configuration, automation, or custom development.

- Experience working with business users and converting requirements into Salesforce solutions.

- Good understanding of Salesforce data model, relationships, sharing model, governor limits, and deployment best practices.

- Experience with data migration tools such as Data Loader, Data Import Wizard, or similar tools.

- Basic understanding of Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, connected apps, named credentials, or middleware.

- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have Skills :

- Salesforce Administrator certification.

- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification.

- Experience with Experience Cloud / Student Portals.

- Experience with Service Cloud, Case Management, or Student Support processes.

- Experience integrating Salesforce with SIS, LMS, ERP, marketing automation, or payment systems.

- Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Git, Copado, Gearset, Jenkins, or Salesforce DX.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

- Exposure to Salesforce reports, dashboards, analytics, and student success metrics.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- The ideal candidate should be someone who can do more than just complete assigned development tasks. We are looking for a Salesforce professional who can understand the business objective, ask the right questions, suggest the right solution, and then configure or develop it effectively.

- The candidate should be comfortable interacting with stakeholders, explaining Salesforce possibilities and limitations, and recommending scalable solutions aligned with Salesforce best practices.

Role Expectations:

- Strong hands-on Salesforce admin and development capability.

- Ability to understand education industry workflows and student lifecycle processes.

- Ability to communicate clearly with business stakeholders and technical teams.

- Ability to suggest practical Salesforce solutions instead of only taking instructions.

- Ability to work independently on assigned modules with minimum supervision.

- Ability to support both new implementation and existing Salesforce enhancement projects.

Education:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent practical Salesforce experience will also be considered.
