Role Overview :

As a Salesforce DevOps Engineer, you will be instrumental in streamlining the development, testing, and deployment processes for complex Salesforce solutions. This role involves collaborating closely with development teams, release managers, and business stakeholders to establish and maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of Salesforce applications. You will play a critical role in enhancing our release management capabilities, contributing directly to the stability, scalability, and agility of our client's Salesforce ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce projects, leveraging industry best practices to automate build, test, and deployment processes for various client engagements.

- Develop and manage version control strategies and branching models within Salesforce environments, ensuring code integrity and facilitating parallel development efforts for multiple teams.

- Administer and optimize Salesforce development environments, including sandboxes and production instances, to support efficient development, testing, and release cycles.

- Collaborate with Salesforce developers to integrate code quality tools, static analysis, and automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline, enhancing the reliability and performance of Salesforce applications, including Salesforce LWC components.

- Oversee release management activities, including planning, scheduling, and executing deployments across various Salesforce orgs, minimizing downtime and ensuring successful go-lives for client projects.

- Implement and manage DevOps tools and technologies specific to the Salesforce platform, including those supporting OmniStudio deployments, to improve developer productivity and operational efficiency.

- Provide technical guidance and support to development teams on DevOps best practices, troubleshooting deployment issues, and optimizing development workflows to accelerate project delivery.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in Salesforce platform architecture and development lifecycle, with 5-10 years of progressive experience in Salesforce administration, development, or DevOps roles.

- Proven ability to design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar, specifically tailored for Salesforce deployments.

- Strong proficiency in Salesforce development technologies, including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC), coupled with an understanding of their deployment considerations.

- Hands-on experience with Salesforce metadata API, Ant Migration Tool, Salesforce DX, and other deployment tools to manage and automate changes across environments.

- Solid understanding and practical experience with Release Management principles and strategies within a Salesforce context, ensuring controlled and predictable deployments.

- Experience working with Salesforce OmniStudio components and their deployment processes is highly desirable.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex deployment and integration issues in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across distributed teams.

- Adaptability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid setup, managing projects and collaborating with teams located across multiple geographies in India.
