The Business Analyst will play a critical role in business discovery across Site, Asset, and Supplier domains, supporting bps Central Data Office (CDO).

The role focuses on understanding business outcomes, lifecycle needs, data challenges, and decision-making requirements before solution design or technology delivery begins.

The individual will work closely with Business Leaders, Data Domain Owners, Data Governance, and Technology teams to translate business needs into clear, outcome-led discovery artefacts that inform prioritisation and subsequent delivery.

What you will deliver :

- Produce high-quality discovery outputs, including :

i. Business problem statements

ii. Outcome and value hypotheses

iii. Capability and data needs summaries

iv. High-level current-state process and data views

- Ensure discovery artefacts are business-led, outcome-focused, and solution-agnostic, suitable for senior and executive audiences.

Collaboration & alignment :

- Work closely with Data Domain Owners, Data Governance, and Technology partners to validate discovery insights and ensure alignment with enterprise data strategy.

- Support translation of discovery outputs into clear inputs for use-case prioritisation, roadmap shaping, and investment decisions.

Relationship & change enablement :

- Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders across geographies and organisational levels.

- Enable alignment between business expectations and data strategy intent, ensuring shared understanding before delivery mobilisation.

What you will need to be successful (experience & skills) :

- 812 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role within large, complex organisations, preferably involving data, analytics, or transformational initiatives.

- Strong capability in business discovery, stakeholder interviewing, and facilitation of structured workshops, including senior business leaders.

- Proven ability to operate in early-stage, ambiguous environments where problem statements and outcomes are being shaped.

- Strong understanding of site, asset, and/or supplier business processes and lifecycles (experience in assetintensive or industrial environments is advantageous).

- Ability to communicate complex topics in clear, outcome-led business language, avoiding premature technical solutioning.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing executive-ready discovery outputs.

Preferred experience :

- Experience working with enterprise data, analytics, or data governance teams.

- Familiarity with value-based use case framing, business discovery frameworks, or data maturity concepts.

- Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
