What role looks like :
We are looking for a seasoned Engineering leader with 12+ years of experience to lead a talented team of engineers building innovative products using Java, Microservices architecture, AWS cloud platform, AI driven and the Angular framework. As a key member of our engineering leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the development and execution of our technical roadmap, fostering a high- performing and collaborative team environment, and ensuring the delivery of high- quality software on time and within budget.
What you'll Deliver :
- Lead and manage a team of 40+ software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Implementation of cutting-edge AI technologies. Managing and mentoring a team of top-notch engineers and data scientists.
- Focus on AI-Driven Solutions - addon
- Develop and execute the technical roadmap, aligning it with the overall product vision and business goals.
- Continuously improve engineering and delivery practices to increase quality, velocity productivity and to provide better visibility on the progress of work.
- Be accountable for the software deliverables to meet all requirements of quality, security, scalability, modifiability, extensibility, testability, etc.
- Break down complex technical problems into manageable tasks and assign them effectively to team members based on their skills and experience.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, mentor the team and invest in continuous development of high-performing team of engineers by enforcing a sense of pride and ownership in the work they do.
- Build a stellar team and manage all people aspects of the team, such as recruit, reviews, mentoring, promotions, etc to have top-tier engineering talent.
- Budgeting and Resource Management.
- Partner with cross functional team, Product Managers, Design and other Engineering leaders to develop the best possible products for our customers.
- Hands on experience analyzing implementation design to identify potential bottlenecks, potential issues and inefficiencies
- Define and implement coding standards maintaining code quality.
- Define and implement design standards for Nonfunctional requirements.
- Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non- technical stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in Java, Microservices, AWS, Angular and AI.
- Champion agile development methodologies and best practices & lead your team to make the best technical decisions
- Track product progress, measure team performance, and identify areas for improvement.
- Contribute to the overall engineering culture by promoting collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a positive work environment.
- Continue to grow a strong, agile, inclusive and collaborative team and foster a growth mindset in yourself and your team.
- Support customers and live site in a dev-ops model.
Ideally, What You Bring :
- 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Strong technology expertise in Java, Microservices architecture, AWS cloud platform, AI, and the Angular framework.
- AI-Driven Solutions experience
- Solid background in building scalable and distributed systems, with expertise in technologies such as Spring boot (Spring (Core, AOP, Transactions, Data, Security), Cassandra, Kubernetes (K8s), Kafka, Docker and others.
- Experience with security best practices and protocols (e.g., SSL/TLS, OAuth)
- Hand on experience towards Architecture and Design patterns. Practice industry's leading best guidelines/processes in building enterprise products/components
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing high-performing engineering teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to mentor and coach others, helping them develop their technical and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in building and scaling software applications.
- Experience in recruiting and hiring top-tier engineering talent.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
