About the role :

Ripik seeks an experienced Staff AI Engineer to lead development and deployment of vision AI solutions for industrial applications like anomaly detection in cement and steel manufacturing. This senior individual contributor role drives technical innovation, mentors engineers, and ensures scalable AI systems for client sites.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect end-to-end AI pipelines for computer vision, including model training, optimization, and integration with edge/cloud infrastructure.

- Lead replication and scaling of AI products across key client production lines, optimizing for real-time performance in industrial environments.

- Collaborate with field teams on deployments, providing technical guidance for hardware/network integration and AI tool commissioning.

- Mentor junior AI engineers, conduct code reviews, and establish best practices for MLOps and model versioning.

- Analyze production data to improve model accuracy, reduce downtime, and drive efficiency gains

- Develop scalable ML pipelines and deploy models into production environments

- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and engineering teams to translate business problems into data solutions

- Monitor model performance, retrain models, and ensure robustness in production

- Document models, assumptions, and results for stakeholder communication

Required Skills & Experience :

- Bachelor's/masters in computer science, AI, or related field; PhD preferred.

- 7+ years in AI/ML with 4+ years in computer vision (object detection, segmentation, anomaly detection).

- Expertise in PyTorch/TensorFlow, OpenCV, edge AI frameworks (TensorRT, ONNX); experience with industrial IoT datasets.

- Proven track record deploying AI at scale in manufacturing/construction; familiar with Ripik's domain (cement, steel).

- Strong system design skills for hybrid on-prem/cloud; proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure.

- Excellent communication for client-facing demos and cross-functional leadership.
