Job Description :
We are looking for an experienced Salesforce leader to lead our Salesforce Admin team. This role owns both the hands-on functional depth of a Senior Admin and the people management responsibility of managing a team of Administrators.
As Team Lead, you will act as the organization's escalation point for complex configuration, compliance, and access-governance issues (SOX, GDPR, EU Data Privacy, and other evolving regulations), while also managing, mentoring, and developing a team of Salesforce Administrators. You will balance hands-on ownership with people leadership - setting priorities, coaching team members and representing the team to cross-functional stakeholders across GSS/Support, Sales, Marketing, and Platform Engineering.
Team Lead Responsibilities :
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 3 to 8 Salesforce administrators, including workload distribution, prioritization, and performance management.
- Triage and prioritize a high-volume mixed workload - from one-off requests (access requests, GDPR data requests, field updates) to multi-quarter platform projects (integrations, security hardening, package decommissioning).
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (GSS/Support, Sales, Marketing, Platform Engineering) to align on priorities and represent the team's roadmap.
- Champion documentation standards (runbooks, release notes) and knowledge-sharing across the team.
Technical Requirements :
You are expected to have extensive, senior-level experience across these Salesforce configuration areas :
- Roles and Profiles, Permission Sets, and Sharing Rules, Groups, and Queues.
- User Management, Provisioning and Deprovisioning - including suspension/reactivation workflows and public group assignment at scale.
- Deployments and Implementations, including release management across sandboxes and production.
- Applications : Managed Packages and Connected Apps, including full package lifecycle management (installation, upgrades, and clean decommissioning).
- Case management configuration - record types, assignment rules, email-to-case, and escalation workflows.
- Third-party system integrations (e.g., HR, CRM, e-signature, partner/marketing platforms) and integration user management.
Core Requirements :
- 8 to 11 years of experience as a Salesforce administrator, with demonstrated progression into senior or lead.
- Prior experience managing or leading a team of resources (direct reports or a matrixed/dotted-line admin team) is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with User Access Review processes for Salesforce.
- Proven ability to quickly understand functional and data requirements from internal stakeholders, and translate them into functional and system design specifications.
- Strong track record identifying critical issues, providing recommendations on proposed solutions, and driving them to resolution.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable operating with ambiguity across a broad and varied project mix.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to leadership and cross-functional partners.
Nice to Have :
- Salesforce Certified Administrator (required); Advanced Administrator and Certified Platform App Builder strongly preferred.
- Experience with the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
- Exposure to MuleSoft, Boomi, or other integration/middleware platforms.
- Salesforce Certified Data Architect or Sharing & Visibility Designer certification.
Work Setup :
- Location : Bengaluru.
- Work setup is hybrid (3 days a week from the Bengaluru office).
